Just a thought.

When a player is active within 7 days, their XP and Stamina gains increase as intended.

When a player is inactive for more than 7 days, shouldn't their XP and Stamina gains be stopped or decreased?

Absolutely not!

Do you really want to penalise someone who is maybe ill or had an accident?  Or maybe has to work away for a period?  I'm thinking of the armed forces and there are many jobs that require 'field work'.  Also most people take two week holidays, and may not want to take away from valuable family time.

My thought wasn't to penalize anyone.

It's about keeping the game interesting and in scope with pace.

At the rate of players advancing in level, EOC is always near.

Have to agree with Lahona.

I know a number of players who have invested in max stam precisely to avoid losing stam when they were going to be away for a while. One can't obviate such investments retrospectively.

And that is before considering the practicality of those that leave a window on autorefresh on their home (work?) desktop while they are away.

I for one see it as a penalty. I am still nowhere closer to EOC than I was 2 years ago. In a week, I may be taking a couple weeks off because I need neck and spine surgery. Besides, what gives You the right to make it 7 days. You can still Attack players who have been inactive less than 30 days for the DQ. Before the parameters were set for the gvg that used to be 30 days.

Try coming up with something that would actually be beneficial for the game :P

actually, when we are offline, our gains are static.  Once we return, the system calculates it all based on its algorithm and adds it to your totals.  Generally it takes mere seconds. But there is no reason to stop or decrease gains when we're gone.  For example, I was afk for almost 2 years.  I would have been very upset to come back to no stam or xp increases.  And would probably have logged right back out.   The cow gods want to keep new and returning players interested just like the rest of us.  It would be wrong to penalize anyone for being away for an extended period of time.

Just one old lady's opinion
