Hello everyone

I am leveling 30 assassin right now and I cant decide either to use heavy or medium armor for my character. I am using heavy armor right now. Panchop told me that I should use heavy armor while Dark Knight said medium sooo. which is better and why? and please leave builds for me. I have a heavy armor build which I think is good but I am not sure where I should put points if I reset to medium.

Thank you for the build. would it be better to add slice and dice and shadow strike?

and kidref says medium because of massacre and you said heavy for battle hardened. so which one gives me higher dps?

slice and dice is for pve up to u.Also massacre ok gives u 4% more but,heavy armor gives u more dps and with battle hardened give 3% more

Ok, I am going to be pve. plus as I look through the talent points it seems to me that bloodthirst stacks can only be gotten through medium armor. so for pve would it be better for me to reset to medium armor with bloodthirst stacks for damaging powers? what would a good medium armor pve build look like? plus should it include the warriors stance?

medium armor is better for pve gives more dmg.. heavy armor is better for higher def while in pvp and slightly less dps

If you want to play a true assassin then 2 handed and medium armour is the way to go.
Heavy armour builds are decent too but don't have such an assassin feel imo

As a general rule, it is worth going into the warrior tree even as an assassin to get offensive stance, marauder, and blazing strike. Crushing blows and invigorate are also good talents but as a Dps, you don't need more than one person in a group to have them, so you could leave them off if you plan to go with others who do have them.

 

Whether you do medium or heavy armor depends on what you want to do. For PvP, I think heavy has an edge up. For Dps'ing dungeons, medium has an edge up. Medium is better for soloing CC bosses as well if you have good enough defenses to solo them anyway. At that point, you should focus on dealing more damage and hence, go with medium armor. On a side note, for those who want to use a two handed weapon (a warsin), I would recommend using heavy armor even as a Dps.

 

My sinwar build for Dps'ing dungeons is the only build I am not willing to share entirely but I will link as much of it as I feel comfortable sharing.
