I been caught off guard a few times now by the instant train option and unwittingly spent gems i was trying to save for a more expensive item. It would be nice if there was a "are you sure you want to spend said gems" before automatically taking them.

Maybe a checkbox in settings to enable/disable purchasing with shards instead?
