We would like to present the roadmap for July - October 2023!
 
 
As always, the roadmaps are a guide and are subject to change.
 
It's been a bit of a strange year for us so far, but we hope the roadmap gives you a rough idea as to what's coming. With Hoof being away, it would be unfair to give an accurate date as to when the GvG updates will be implemented, however, it will be the next thing we plan to deliver when Hoof is back in action!
 
We understand there has been a fair few of you asking for Arena updates, so we'd like to spend some time seeing what we can do to improve it. As we are navigating these next few months, there may be opportunities we can slip in some extra things here and there.
 
We do have some new skills planned for the end of this year, so we will likely make a forum thread to allow you to give feedback before they are implemented.
 
We appreciate everyone who have given their time to provide feedback and can only ask for your patience as we head into the latter half of the year. We hope you all have a wonderful summer -- remember to stay hydrated!

#1009384 Epic Quests & Legendary Beasts!

Today, we are releasing two Epic Quests:
 
'Towards the Answer (Epic)'
&
'Ancient Wisdom (Epic)'
 
Along with this, there are new Realms, Creatures and Items. This will also allow you to finish the quest 'Present Darkness (Epic)'!

I am confused as to how these quests are "Epic"? Maybe because they have many many stages/steps to complete? But, the reward of completing these quests are certainly not "Epic" - they match any other random quest for that specific level. This is very disappointing.

 

The reward for completing "Epic" quests, especially with the amount of stages needed to complete, needs to also be "Epic". What qualify as an "Epic" reward, you ask? Please see the list below in no particular order.

  • Increase in Stamina Gain per hour (5+)
  • Increase in Max Stamina (5,000+)
  • Increase in Backpack (5+)
  • Increase in Gold Gain per hour (5,000+)
  • Increase in XP Gain per hour (100,000+ or scale based on the current level? (5%+)
  • Increase in Bank Deposits per day (2+)
  • Increase in Max Auctions (5+)
  • Or, a plethora of other options listed on the Character Upgrade page

 

Please look into correcting this error. As these "Epic" quests are currently, there is zero incentive (except Quest medal progress) to complete these.

We need you to put in Support tickets:

Is this the App, on Browser or both?
Detail what you are doing in game.
The time and date the slow down occured.
What browser you're using.
What scripts are installed.
Where you are geographically.

 

We need as much data as you can provide because we're just not seeing it here. I'm not saying it ain't happening, I'm saying whatever is causing it for you is something we're not seeing. We need data from you to know where to look. "It's lagging!" simply is not helpful.

If you are unhappy with the situation you have a few choices:

  • Level up to their range and opt into the PvP Ladder
  • Do nothing and play the game

Nothing is stopping anyone else from also leveling up to 5,500 or 6,000 - both of those players did it so it is clearly possible. Not right to punish them for playing the game how they want.

 

PvP Ladder has needed a huge overhaul for many years now - maybe with this happening, people will be more willing to look at overhauling the system.

Hello everyone!
 
Some time back, this forum thread gave us some ideas about what we could do to revitalize GvG. We decided to take some of these on board, and we are thinking about running a trial to see how it goes.
 
Below are some of the things we will be aiming to implement:
 
  • Notification System for upcoming conflict

​Just like the Relics, we believe this will give Defending Guilds a chance to prep, and allow Guilds to strategize before the conflict begins. 

 

There was some talk about how much notice a Guild should be given before a conflict begins. There have been a few suggestions thrown around: 1 hour, 2 hours, though we believe 1 hour will suffice for the trial period.

This preparation time will be separate from the 24hr Conflict Window.

  • Reducing the offline time for AFK targets

The current activity timer is 7 days. We are open to reducing this to 48hrs during the trial period.

  • Guilds must meet the Level Requirement and be over 7 days old to initiate a GvG
     
  • Expand Level Ranges

Mostly to boost activity in the middle-late ranges. Currently, the plan is to expand these ranges after the trial period.

  • Update RP Packs

Long overdue for some sort of update. We will post again with the proposed change to allow some time for feedback!

 

As these proposed changes will affect many of you, we urge everyone to give us their thoughts and opinions!

This is mostly great and should have been implemented many years ago. None of the proposed changes would "revitalize" GvG. The changes listed are only Quality of Life. GvG needs an entire revamp to be relevant - it will continue to be irrelevant even with the proposed changes.

 

It is unfortunate that half of the original post was ignored as it is the best part of the original post by Toreth.

 

 

"In addition to the minor quality of life type changes mentioned above, another change mentioned would be the resetting of the GvG rating every three months or so akin to the PvP ladder with the reward being a simple guild achievement displaying “1st Place in a GvG Season” with the reward potentially being an additional relic slot, or base stamina gain so as to incentivize actively pursuing 1st place repeatedly to keep others from achieving the same.


The ability to provide individuals a competitive aspect to partake in while being rewarded for doing well, coupled with multiple opportunities, over time, to climb and attempt to make the most of a “fresh start” at the start of the three months will also help inject that liveliness into an otherwise humdrum aspect. We already have the resetting of rating present in the game, as mentioned, so transitioning that into the GvG area seems like a relatively easy and feasible way to go about helping bolster individuals’ pride in their ability to conduct themselves at the pinnacle of guild activities."

+0.1% per point increase to the Super Elite set bonus stat
 
Galvanize
Level: 4500
Stamina Cost: 15
Duration: 90 minutes
Category: Defense
When Healer is activated, increase max Hit Points by 0.05% per point

Relic Defender - Why not remove Reign of Terror instead of introducing this new buff? With groups increased to a cap of 10, it is less punishing to fail a relic capture. Also, having a buff counter an unnecessary buff feels weird to me. Please scrap this one along with Reign of Terror.

 

"X.XX% reduction to the effectiveness of Dark Curse." - Dispel Curse

Please change Dispel Curse to use this logic instead of it removing the effect of Dark Curse entirely.

 

All for One - Sure, seems good. A slight buff to SE sets as it is a disadvantage to use a SE Weapon as is. Depending on the bonus, I'm all for it.

 

Galvanize - A buff that needs a small chance buff to fire to activate doesn't make sense to me. Layering buffs on top of other buffs gets complicated. This is an unnecessary RNG buff. Also, can you image if someone is running Severe Condition 200 and this fires? Millions upon million of additional HP. Please scrap this one.

 

What happened to Farsight & Reversal?

 

TLDR: No to Relic Defender & Galvanize. Remove Reign of Terror. Yes to All for One. Change Dispel Curse to reduce effect of Dark Curse.

This thread is discussing the new Guild Achievements and is a major thread started by the creators of the game who want input from all players.

Golden Idol IS UNACHIEVABLE for guilds which have only 1 or 2 members. My discussion is warranted here.


Golden Idol is also not achievable for people who aren’t in a guild. So, shall we cater to them? I say no - they chose to not be in a guild. Just as some people choose to be in a 1 person, 2 person, 3 person or 119 person guild. Game is all about choice, everyone has the option and equal opportunity to complete all of these achievements.

The rewards listed for spending millions of stamina is an absolute joke. It truly shows how out of touch the people who decided the rewards are with this game. It is borderline insulting to think it was adequate.

 

+10 stats doesn't have any impact - not even to a level 1 player. You may as well take away the "reward" and have it be the guild achievement completed on the guild page - it would be the same. Not a single person is going to rush to complete any of those achievements.

 

This has got to be increased substantially. Changing it to a percentage increase is a great start. I am very much in favor of changing it to 5-10%.

 

Or, have 1 of the achievements provide the stat percentage increase and change the other rewards: increase max stam by XXXX, increase gold gain by XXXX, increase XP gain by XXXX, increase shard gain by XXXX, increase all enhancements by XXXX, etc.

 

Anything at all would be better than what is listed as the reward right now.
