My idea would be to add bound fallensword points to the game like sigmastorm what would you get from some quests and leveling (like 2 per 10 levels or so) - that would motivate people to do more quests. Current questing has so low prizes that dont even motivate them and very few people even have any idea about the games storylines at all.

Unfortunately, i don't see this happening. as far as incentives for doing the quests, the biggest thing that makes people want to do them is the XP awarded, i myself have been able to gain quite a few levels just retracing and doing ones i've missed XD (and i've done every quest to completion up to my level except "The Circle Of Elements). Some give you some semi-decent gold, and others a few useful things from time to time.

 

One of the main reasons i don't see them changing rewards is that that would take tons of time, and leave those who've already done the quests without reward.

We also have the medal, which may not be a big incentive but it is there.

Also, even with a few points given to the player at certain levels or level ranges, it would be detrimental to the cows income, another reason i don't see it happening U.U

 

Dont get me wrong, id like to see more reasons to do quests other then to be a completionist XD

Gold / Kill peaks at about Level 310 or so - and then drops again twice - once at 1601 (from average 300g / kill with no doubler/mer/th to 250g / kill) and then again at at 1626 (down another 50g / kill to an average of 200g / kill)

I dont think its much to ask tho, lets say your a newbie and you get from 1 to 100 in a day, thats like 20 fsp from leveling that you can allocate only on upgrades and lets say maybe 20 fsp more from quests, thats basically it - it wont need to be big prizes, just something to motivate. i dont think like 40 fsp that gives you either 2 auction house slots or 400 max stam is doing any damage. Maybe they should start focusing on the little guys since the main focus is on eoc anyways.

Oh i can understand, and your heart is in the right place, but i think and im not 100% certain, but this has been brought up a couple times before and been shot down each time, maybe not quest specific but similar ideas.

 



Maybe they should start focusing on the little guys since the main focus is on eoc anyways.

 

I fully agree with you, they do need to do more for the younger levels, something to entice them to stay, but they still have to do things for the EOC'ers to from time to time.

And I doubt HCS would like it nor would it like to have a full time police cow inviting clones. Not to mention that many EOC players have clones to burn their boredem while waiting for new content, so encouragement of more clones will become a disaster for the cows at some point.

Maybe what you mean is to make new Levelers reach a certain point of upgrades to help them get into the game , yes I agree with that. But bound and unbound FSPs would be too much of a Hassel ... And probably the reply you LL get from grim is that it's working as intended. :P

I kinda doubt this.... mainly because I know how diligently BG locates and irradicates them on a regular basis.   

 

Bound FSP won't happen, I can about guarantee this.  We have gold upgrades, after all, and as has been mentioned, most of those quests below 200 were passed through by many of us years ago.   It would unfortunately be very unfair to anyone who already completed them.  And since only we can actually access our own questbooks, there's no way to verify if each player completed any qusest, so compensation for said older players would be difficult, if not impossible, to manage.

Its not always easy to locate clone accounts. They use VPN... And something banned or forbidden
or being hunted down doesn'tt mean that people doesn't do it or wouldn't do it...

In any case my problem isn't with the amount of clones. The problem is encouraging more clones.

Looks like EOC is a big red pimple that will blow into a nuke whenever touched. If it's that serious, I hope HCS found them a solution soon lol.

you have 2500 levels of content ahead of you.

 

eoc has none.

 

how much more content do you need? how much more do they have to pay you to play?

Its not about content for us, its about a few things to keep people interested in the early levels so that they don't just get on for two or three days then never again as i've seen happen so much over the years. sure this isn't a game for everyone, but perhaps the mentor system *wink wink Grim nudge nudge* could help out with even if its has a few more bones then it has now XD

(as far as the quests,  FS has the epic quest and daily quests with rewards)

 

....hey, if you can convince the cows to give away some 100,000 points retroactively to all players i'll happily take some

 

trivia: the bound sigma points usage is limited to the character upgrade page

I am worse than that, I don't even bother to go to quest marks lol
Quests isn't my cup of tea... Unless it is really rewarding.

Well, I never considered XP a reward. Mind me. Am not much of a leveler. ;-;
