When I try to learn the incinerate spell, I get a message that says I already know the spell. However, it is not in my abilities.

It may already be equipped, perhaps in the second row ?
Press - Z to toggle rows or better still Press O and select the show both spell rows option. I think we'll turn this on by default in future.
If not then its a bug, but its usually in your second row if you cant find it

Or press B to open up all abilities and on the third tab (magic) it should be the first one there. Then you can move it to bar down the bottom

Yeah I thought of those, but nope. Not there. It is a bug, I believe. Hope this helps in the development.

So are you stuck on the basic magic quest then? Have you talked to the NPC again?
