Currently, if you leave a guild during a conflict for whatever reason, the system prevents you from joining another guild until that conflict expires (even if it is completed before then). This is by design and in itself is not a problem.  The problem is, if you are not in the guild, you have no way of knowing when that time is.

If you try to accept an invite to another guild, the only information you get is:

INFORMATION

You cannot join a guild before the expiry time of the conflict initiated by your previous guild while you were a member.

Unless you were diligent in recording the end time of any conflicts before you left, you have to keep trying periodically until it lets you in.  Even if you were diligent, if someone initiated a conflict a second before you click "Leave Guild" you have absolutely no way of knowing.

If there was a countdown on the Join a Guild page or time-stamp in the above message as to when you can join the next guild, it would serve to alleviate a lot of frustration when switching guilds.

This is not the norm. In fact, the likelihood of this happening is so minuscule I don't think making a 'countdown' for this reason alone is worthwhile. However, making a countdown for every player that can participate - meaning if you can't hit or be hit there's no need - would greatly improve the game! In other words if you can't participate, meaning you can't attack or be attacked, then there is no reason why you should remain restricted to change guilds!

I'm going to take this opportunity at yet another player suggestion, and there are always many, to criticize the developers' lack of time resourced on the game itself. New mobile platforms have a catchy appeal but the possibility of attracting new players is a gamble and will not benefit a game that is desperately needing work.

I love your idea.  If you can not be a target then there is no real logical reason to hold you.

On a similar note, there is also no reason to hold you after the conflict is resolved. (Currently, you can not join another guild for 24 hours after the start of conflict regardless of when it is resolved.)

Though this defect has been brought up before, I still agree with its implementation.

Beyond what I believe, tongue-in-cheek, is the reasoning behind Wolf's issue, it goes beyond that. I get that the programming was thought to avoid collusion on GvGs and the ideology behind that move made sense to me.

However, the game evolves. Assuming that targets remain targets... how do we know? That's a sincere question there, btw.

Depending on the answer to that question, which I do NOT know (and yes, I GVG but have never really looked closely at the programming), I'm actually a bit concerned about further manipulation, lmao. So, not just from the point of view of the Traveling Composer and the guilds they serve, but from a retaliation aspect, I wonder.

Not exactly on topic but the header says GvG, so.

Question:

When a guild starts a conflict, why don't they finish it when members of their target guild are online and able to buff?

Why hit a few times then wait till the buffs run out and members of that guild go offline to come back and run out their attacks?

Guild v Guild is a misnomer and I won't say what I'm really thinking now.  This is safer and gets my point across.

I don't believe that's warriors, that's more like farmers.

if you leave a guild and want to join another guild then a guild conflict cooldown message when you try to join the new guild would be a good one

I want to give yet another reason why some kind of countdown for players who are eligible is desirable. Often times I will log in and have no idea a conflict is even in progress. The notification in the guild log is pages and pages behind. I think it's impractical to ask players to have to check guild backlog every time they log in.

Guild manage then look for "Initiated Conflicts: 0" it's right there on top of guild rp :)

When I come online should I need to go through every button on the left hand side for game actions that are immediately pertinent to me? I'm bombarded with notifications about communications as it is. You just aided my argument. Thank you!

If the conflict is already complete before 24 hrs is up, it will not show on that list but you still will not be able to join another guild until the 24-hour mark.

There's another countdown that could and should be shown on the player interface; composing pots. You could have opt outs if you don't want to see any of it of course. This only requires some desire by the developers to improve the game! I'm pessimistic as usual on the subject.

Yes, a count down to when your soonest potion will be ready would definitely be useful.

Of course, there are ways to fairly easily get this information where as the GvG info is extremely difficult to see if it is completed within 24 hours and you are in an active guild where the notification may be buried in pages of activity...

Still, I like your idea.
