Hi all!
Firstly, we've created a pinned thread for the Fallen Sword App beta that has a list of all the milestones (and which one is in-progress / done. The aim of this is so the milestones don't get lost within other threads on the forum when the Fallen Sword App Update threads get pushed down the forum.
We're pretty much done with v0.1 (except for some bug fixes and minor tweaks) and have submitted a version of it to Apple for them to review and approve for testing. There is a similar process for Google Play which we are also doing today. This is for internal testing, but providing nothing major comes up, it's likely we'll do another build later next week which we'll be able to let you try out if you're interested in testing it.
My video skills are pretty bad, but I took a quick video of how the app is looking on Android tablet to let you see it working. Note this is the app connecting to the live game server

We'll be posting an update on this very soon with a roadmap of what each version of the upcoming beta is going to feature.

The new client is being created using Unity which will allow us to build the game for PC / Mac as well as mobile. It will require additional work to make the interface work well on PC / Mac, but it is definitely possible
I'm hoping to make good progress with the new client over the holidays, but also want to have some family time too

I think it's a good idea, the reward is rubbish, 5 max stamina? We can only do a years worth of them based off that and earn 1,000 ish max stam? Rewards need to be better, maybe 20 max stam? Also I would like to see a bonus for example you complete every daily quest in a week to earn a bonus. A nice bonus such as 1 BP slot, AH slot, something that costs a bit to make the effort. Like titans, i use to hunt them to make nice fsp, now most of them are worthless and I dont play much because its difficult to make a descent amount of fsp. There needs to be a good reward for us to make a effort. For 5 max stam, forget it. Also what's with the collect thing? why not have an automated thing once you completed it like normal quests. It's not difficult at all to do. If i do a quest and forget to collect, that would be annoying. I know the quests are different before someone says, but 5 max stamina, come on! Maybe get the rewards better after each one until the end of the week and refresh. That means you want to make the effort daily to come on and get your prizes! Not come and go as you like and think ooo ill do this one, then the next day be like, that's rubbish, ill leave that one today (maybe have a list to show what you can earn during the week). Just throwing my ideas and input. Feel free to add or adjust anything.

Hi all,
Just wanted to share a quick sneak peek at how Daily Quests are looking. We're hoping to have the first Daily Quests ready within the next week or so now
The Daily Quest will reset the next time you login after midnight each day and must be collected before midnight UTC. When you achieve the quest, a 'Collect' button will appear at the bottom of the box allowing you to collect the reward. Note also the Daily Quest won't be the same for every player each day.

So the app is not going to be fully functional? All you can do is produce a companion app initially? After previously leading me, at least, to believe you were going to create a fully mobile game interface? Colour me ambivalent on this news.
Sorry I guess companion app isn't quite correct. By that meant that during beta, not all the functionality will be there so it wouldn't be possible to play all aspects of the game on phone / tablet. The overall aim however is to add all the functionality of the game so it can be played fully on mobile / tablet with a new, slick interface

I'm hopeful that we'll have it playable as a beta by the end of the year (not all the features of the game however). I'm seeing it more as a companion app initially so you can play on the move as well as on your computer / laptop. Eventually it would be great to have all the features, but I think focusing on the core of the game (ie. moving around the map, attacking creatures etc.) would be a good first step to have out there. Just thinking out loud on this.
My phone already does this on the full site..

Anything that poses some form of difficulty usually gets dumbed down in this game, due to people complaining that its not fair... This seems to be another example of it.
Sure fighting people with high level pots can be difficult, but definitely not impossible... Not to mention there are plenty of luck based buffs that give you a shot at victory

During any PvP Combat all buffs would be capped at lvl 192.
Well...thoughts?
Greater Enchanted Weapon, Potion of Fury, Potion of Truth, Brew of the Grind Stone, Blazing Cave, to mention a few, are all potions that provide buffs at a higher level than 192. Potions that have been around for years. Potions that are/were never considered a game breaking problem with regard to PvP. Potions that are readily available to every single player in the game. Are you suggesting that these long established potions should also fall under the cap umbrella with regard to PvP? If so, I'd have to disagree with the cap.
Cheers.
