There are many times or situations in a day when the players go afk and that situations can be immediate. Few examples :-

1. A kid players mom called for some house work

2. An adult player who is doing job is called by boss.

3. An shopkeeper player got a customer at regular intervals - its my case to be specific

4. Many more etc.....

As in such cases we have to leave immediately, our char is alone and uncommanded and if it is in dungeon or any area where aggressive monsters are there, then monsters keep beating it and even if our char is stronger than monsters it dies.

So there should be a feature of self defense or auto attack in such cases.

I hope many busy people who may be playing this game support this idea.

Thanks.

nope .

you can just press home stone which is 2 click away if that happens to you. and even if you die you only lose repair anyway.

why wud i want to walk all the way from eldevin to far away places.... just for being afk???

we lose repair that is too costly.....

we lose time spent to reach place....

we lose time that is required to again reach the same place....

and i am not saying to provide a bot auto attack kinda feature. I just want some equivalent structure. If wild monster attacks us then only our player attacks otherwise no auto attack required. Its just self defense especially in the cases where our char is stronger than the enemies....

I don't mind losing to strong ones, but i hate when some low level monsters kill me just coz my char doesn't attack....

just log off....

Are you sure we won't die by logging off? If yes, then it is temporary solution but will work. But a better solution for such problems is still self defense or auto attack feature only.

However thanks for temp solution at least it will save lots of time of mine. I hope my suggestion gets implemented soon too.

There are safe zones virtually everywhere.  I died yesterday in TR because I decided to read about Caitlyn Jenners's lifestyle choices in the middle of my run. It happens.  If you summon a void elemental or wolf and set them to aggressive, they'll attack enemies close to you.

I'm still waiting on my invisibility potion to be created. :D

I like the concept.  Sometimes you don't even have a couple of minutes to get to a safe area.  (I've been in your situation.  I can see the look when you tell your customer, "just one minute, I have to move to a safe corner so I don't die". :P )

But rather then an auto-fight, I'd suggest a 'ghost' mode (/ghost).  In ghost mode the mobs ignore you.  To prevent exploiting there can be a few seconds delay, if you get attacked 'ghost' fails.  If you walk away without waiting you'll still die in some situations (the same situations where logging off fails), but it should help.

If I had to leave, and was in the middle of a dungeon, well I'd explain I'd had to go and be very sorry for it. Yes things can happen, and if you have to leave, you have to leave.

However speaking from my personal experience, there should be a toggle for this "self defence", because if you leave and find out that maybe someone passed away or any other bad news like family member in the hospital, chances are you might not come back to playing Eldevin in these cases. It's just one reason to show why this shouldn't just be enabled but just a toggle.

Kind of like what Irradiated posted about the ghost mode.

I don't think it's worth it though, just die and log off. Or teleport when you can. Can always make your money back later. :)

However I realize it must suck for dungeons though, but never know how long you might be away.

I do think an auto log off for 5 minutes or thereabouts of no activity would be a good idea. This should have an option to disable it for when you're crafting so it doesn't log you off while your making bars from ores such as iron etc. or making planks from logs for example. Either that or you can set it to 1, 3, 5 minutes or off on a drop down menu in settings perhaps. That solves the problem in a way because if you leave unexpectedly, you'll log off and hopefully avoid danger.

Similar feature works in LoL (red alert! not trying to compare these two games ;D) if you (briefly) disconnect and your character is attacked it attacks back with autoattacks. It is not meant as a permanent solution, but it works for times when your connection breaks temporarily etc before the game registers you as afk and sends you to base. It may not be lifesaving but at least you are not standing there like a silly doodle while everything around you takes a bite off ya.

Logically it makes sense to attack back at whatever is attacking "you" even if "you" are stuck in a game while the real you goes and sells some stuff to people in real life. I like when games make sense XD So the feature might be worth considering, sounds like auto-attack would be easier than programming in some auto-log off or whatnot.

Also, getting a few shots back at whoever jump-scares you in PvP before you can toss your pick, grab your needlessly large rod and smack ´em around properly is an intriguing idea

Off topic apologies.  But you no longer have to equip the pick/rod/axe to get the time benefit.  So no more tossing :)

People make too big deal about this

Just make character to retaliate with regular attack if he gets attacked, so if monster is too weak, it will die against u.

Eldevin Steam-generation.
