Some examples:
They're just 10k apiece. You can have whatever you want on the sides (either side, left or right) and your appropriate text there. I'll also post the ones people buy, just to give some store attention boost. You can also either choose from a list of backgrounds, or choose a background.
Use this list to order:
Font for your text (or let me choose one):
Background (put either a picture or description here):
Figure on the side (what character?):
Which side will your figure be? Left or right?:
How big it should be (should be no bigger than ones posted):
Additional information (depends on what it is, at a certain cost if too difficult and takes more time):
Text (information you want on there):
I personally like smaller advertising boards.
Comments? Suggestions? Feel free to post.

I'll wait til you get GIMP though.
Font: Something techy? Try ZeroHour over at dafont.com
Background: I'd like it to be flashy, but maybe you could incorporate this into it? http://i111.photobuc...N___R_O_S_E.jpg? layers and blending can be so much fun
Figure: howzabout some love for Falco Lombardi? A simple head shot would be enough. http://planetrenders...bardirender.png
Side: No preference– creative license granted!
Size: Again, no preference. Go with what you feel would work best.
Let me know if you need any more info.

Which one do you want? I know there are 3, but I did different versions. If you don't like any of them and feel it doesn't reflect on you, then I'll make another.
Tell me which one you want, or you can have all of them. 10k each. Just send me the gold and take the banner.

The thing was that I couldn't download fonts straightaway, but I'll fix that soon.

Sorry for being picky, but I agree with Thristle. Try putting the darker color behind the others, and use the lighter color to highlight the text. I've always used the blending options in PS.. but I don't know if GIMP has those...

I don't think it looks really that improved since the first one displayed, and I put about 7 shades of blue/green/blue green/everything in between and you can barely see it.

Once you get GIMP, play around with all of the blending options (if they're there lol).
