I see and that is good with some players doing good job in keeping game interesting.  I am thankful for all the responses so far. I hope there are more fs community that would like to state what they like about fs or what keeps them coming back to fs. 

 

I will state that I like passing out hugs as part of my character here in fs.  I wanted to hugs hcs staff for giving us extra stamina when something goes wrong in fs.  I think it is awesome of hcs staff in doing this for the community.

Don't know actually, but maybe addiction ? A habbit ? The people here once you realise that many ages play this game from many parts of the world, PvP, and well did I mention PvP ? Selling buffs on market despite my level, I make some good gold, arena, etc.... (A lot of aspects) some don't require stam to do, this thread is very cool btw and good idea bigchaos to bring it up

Hopefully from this thread some new ideas will be made about bringing more players, cuz every day im seeing less players online which is clearly not motivating me to do anything but watch my stam flow

It's been a bit since I posted here, and I still say that the community is the main thing that keeps me playing FS.  It has been here to celebrate my triumphs and to give me a much needed hand up when I was down.  The richness of the community is what keeps me coming back, every single day ( okay, several times for hours at a time ) for all these years, whenever I was able.  And most of these strong bonds were made before we had global chat, when things were discussed here in the forum, and that's how we got to know each other.  Now, with the chat, we have the opportunity to expand our horizons, not only in the game, but in our lives... That's a pretty sweet thing that a simple game can do... I'm here for the duration... As always, hats off to the Holy Bovines for this game and all they do for it

I thought I would see if there is more of the community that wants to put what brings them back to fs to play. I am seeing a lot of really interesting and fun posts. I hope more of the community comes out to state their thoughts. Thank you to those that have posted all ready and it is nice to see the community having fun on the forum posting on the topic.

I want to say the community of the whole of FS but nobody talks to me. But mostly my guild. Been friends for ages now and just great to chat and help people out. We accept level 1+ so people come and go all the time and its  nice to speak to people worldwide, even if its just for a while.  

 

Just saddening when great friends go inactive and every few days i hope they have logged back in just to chat but to no avail.

It is nice you posted here and I agree with you it is sad seeing many players going inactive, but there are always more players coming back and registering. I like the idea that you can meet people from all over the world. I hope you do not give up and come on the forum to post many here like being social.   I am a hugs monster and I give hugs to you douglasj with many thanks on your thoughts.

This topic has has really blossomed since I first posted here.  I've made many new friends since then.  And I've had a chance to reflect on what really drives me to log in every day.  

 

In 2008, I separated from my then husband of 18 1/2 years.  I was on the streets  and went  to live with friends for a while, and when that didn't work out, it was a member of my Fallen Sword family that invited me to leave Dallas and come to Chicago and stay with her.  She is no longer here, but I will remember her caring and hospitality till my dying day.  If it wasn't so cold in Chicago, that may have worked out, but I was freezing to death, and after a few months I returned to Dallas to a homeless shelter.  I walked the 16 blocks to the Dallas Public Library every day, just to play Fallen Sword. The community was my rock, and I don't think I would have survived that time with my sanity intact were it not for my friends from Erildath.

 

When I got my new apartment and things began looking up for me, my FS family rejoiced with me.  In that time, I was unable to log in for an extended period of time... I have no way of really knowing if I was missed, but I have been told that I was.  That I was even remembered made me feel special indeed.

 

Then I come back to FS and we have a new thing called Global Chat.  Oh, man, how I love Global Chat.  Now I can chat with my friends in real time, without having to have Skype or MSN or Yahoo! Isn't that wonderful?   

 

In September, I celebrated my birthday... It was fantastic!  The FS community shared it with me, and I felt so very loved and blessed.  A girl couldn't ask for anything more.

 

Week end before last, my sister-in-law was diagnosed with brain cancer, and my husband with small cell cancer.  I was able to feel comfortable talking to my friends about this, and the moral support I have gotten is phenomenal...

 

Yes, people, I love Erildath and each and every citizen, both new and veteran.  This community is an important part of my life. That's what keeps me coming back to FS day after day, year after year.

It has surprised me ow often I've ended up talking to FS friends about life-stressing events. There is a real community here.

 

My somewhat shallower answer is that I am waiting to see new form Xinderoth morphs into at level 4000.

Thank you BadPenny and robeth for your posts. I have to agree with both of you. I will admit the community is one of the main reasons I do come back myself. I think morphs of 4000 are going to be in the future for fs.  I am saying there is an fs future, been reading many doom and glooms on some other threads because of a slow down on players playing and getting new members to the community. 

 

I have faith in hcs in improving the game and know we will be around a long time. The community here in fs has a lot of passion to help developers with positive improvements and yeah the negative as well.  I thought I would add this here since I have had some negative pm's.  I wanted to state in the forum my thoughts is this that the developers of hcs are caring and passionate about this game.  I find that hcs has my respect for making an effort in trying to work with us the clients to make the game more fun with changes.  A game without changes is boring and fades away in the IT tech world.  I will remind we the clients are guests to fs and be respectful to the developers. 

 

I can say in my experience I have not developed a fun game like this and have it offered for free. I know many of us in the community expect more because we buy extra to improve our gaming experience, yet keeping a game like this active and functioning is a big endeavor.  I have been doing a lot of reading on what it takes to code and yeah it c an make your eyes bleed.  I thought I would put a little extra in my post why I am always praising hcs though they may make mistakes like all of us from time to time.  I respect hcs even more for admitting when they occur and taking time to stop what is being worked on to correct the mistake.  Sometimes mistakes are easy fixes sometimes an overhaul is needed.  I have stated coding is not magic you snap your fingers and poof it is perfect and ready to roll.   

 

I started this thread I felt so many of us forget that these developers work on their weekends and holidays. I love this game and I know it will stay for a long time and these developers care enough to admit there is work needed in many areas of the game.  I keep coming back because I respect that it will get done.  I know many things that are worth wild take time to do right.  I will apologize for the slight rant here but I have read a lot of negative comments and critiques and those are responded by hcs with diligence.  

 

I hope more community will take the time to read the forum or at least post a thread of interest in your guild. I feel we need all the players in the community represented.  I am stating level 1 to Eoc and those that are donating and those that do not all play with equality in  the game.  I hope that when you see an inactive player of a friend leave a message and state changes are happening in fs and we as community will be looking forward in seeing you come back to visit. 

 

I figured we as a community can help developers by being active and letting them know what is good and works in the game and what is not working we can help with diligent posting here in forum.  I figured somewhere in the middle when adjustments have been made to the game, it is like a rebirth in moving forward.   Thank you for letting me express my thoughts here and do visit other threads here in the forums and let your post be read by another.

Honestly I don't even know what keeps me playing. I think it's the fact that I've invested so much time (and money in the past) that I'd feel bad if I left now and let it all go to waste. I want to see my guild succeed after donating so much to it. And I guess there's always that slight bit of hope that FS will return to what it used to be

I have been gone for a bit but I like the game because it has a good community and is easy to play.   Oh yeah I like the fact the developers are trying to keep game interesting by doing updates and I see they have a thread that lets you know what they are working or will be is very nice.

It is nice to see more of the community posting. Welcome back for those that have been gone a bit and hope you are taking time to read what is new in fs through the forum.  Thank you for your posts and hope to see more returning players and new players in general posting.   I agree there is lots of updates happening.
