We've been talking about why players de-level in a couple of threads now and I've been looking towards a solution that would work better for this. The main reason for de-levelling seems to be to contribute more guild xp towards your guild as the reduced xp at the end of content also adjusts the amount of xp that is contributed.

Rather than nerf stats and/or xp as previously suggested, I think we can keep this aspect of the game (i.e.. contributing to your guild) without impacting other aspects of the game (bounty board, medals etc.) by simply removing the sub-levelling reduction from guild xp. What I mean is you would get a guild xp contribution based on the xp you would have gained from the creature before any reduction is applied for sub-levelling.

What do you think?

Your wording is still a little confusing to me, but I know what you mean. I think this is a pretty good compromise (and you should probably mention it works for the last critter at content for each type (normal, champion, elites))

im lost

so you're saying to get XP from  the creature instead of the whole De-Level hunt?

The guild xp you gain would be based on the xp the creature can give rather than the actual xp you gain from it :)

It means that if you're at end of content, and you sub-level for a few levels, the xp you're contributing to your guild won't be reduced. Currently the guild xp is based on the actual xp you gain from the creature, whereas I'm proposing to base it instead on the xp you would have gained from the creature before any sub-levelling reduction is applied :)

Yeah - basically we would calculate the xp as normal, work out the guild xp from that, then apply the sub-levelling reduction to the xp you gain.

I think this would be a reasonable solution... However, unless I'm understanding this wrong, how does this stop the exploitation of the Bounty system? That is the real issue for me. Free smasher medals and such are really getting annoying now. No effort other than the stamina used is required.

I feel that this solution misses addressing the root of problem here. That is, how players delevel, not how they relevel.

May I please, once again, submit a possible solution that focuses just on this?

I feel that is a pretty good idea, but also believe if we could just attack out own guild member/ on and off the BB this could work as well

I think the root of the problem is more why players de-level not how, hence this suggestion :)
