Over the last week, I've been getting a slew of repetitive and bad daily quests. Three days in a row I got "Kill X Elite creatures: Gain X stamina". Usually around 500 elites too for 860 stam. Not an easy task, and hardly a reward. Today it's "Defeat 125 Champion creatures 0 / 125 Gain +100 Allegiance Tokens", another long and tedious task with virtually no reward.
Now, while I would like for Daily Quests to be reworked a bit to be less of a waste of time, I came here to suggest a more simple and easier change. And that is to add a flag to the DQ system so that it wont give you the same task type two days in a row. Very small change, but will help add a ton of variety. I think it's something everyone can agree on.

Yes, I have let some quests go by.
Big Grim, I have been told a number of times lately that a PvP hit on me for DQ counts. Did you guys change that? I read in GC where it did not count. I have PvP protection running.

I have always thought that the DQ was lacking, not only in variety, but in substance. For one thing, every other game has a list of tasks, not just 1, and you can do some or all for various small rewards. I remember we were told a reroll option might be considered. Hopefully when the app is done it will be addressed.Over the last week, I've been getting a slew of repetitive and bad daily quests. PvP DQ's require XP loss to count.. If conserve kicks in, the attack isn't counted... I should think protection would be the same.Yes, I have let some quests go by.

PvP DQs simply require you to "Defeat x players in normal pvp", normal meaning not bounty or gvg , xp loss is not mentioned- you may be confusing with prestige where xp loss has to be "applicable" to gain prestige - either way if conserve kicks in it counts for DQ and for prestige -- I tried recently on a DQ 12 hits, 4 conserves = 12 counts
As for where players have pvp protection - xp loss is not applicable so no prestige is gained, I have not tried a DQ against these players but in theory a defeat is a defeat and it should count against pvp protection - protection only guards xp loss, can still defeat players for gold.

Yes, Penny, one would think so, but that might not be the reality.
I seek clarification, as in.. Yes, we changed it o, No,we did not change it.
Depending on the answer, I can leave my bio or I can change it.
Question being: Does the PvP DQ hit count on players using PvP protection?

Does NOT count.

If you can be bountied, the attack should count. Is there a single reason WHY it shouldn't?
Changing the code in this game environment is harder than agreeing it should be changed.
Hoof, any reply?

While you're here BigGrim, maybe a simple answer to a simple question, please?
Do DQ PvP hits count if PvP protection is up and running?
Some say experience must be taken for it to count.

I plan to try to test this next PvP DQ.

Thank you, but LadyJenks, answered the question while I was doing other things.
She hit me earlier then counted her hits and found she had one more than she needed to complete it.
So, no. A player with PvP protection up and running does not count for your DQ.

you can hit somebody with PvP protection. They won't lose xp, but you can snag the gold. And they can bounty you....
PvP protection never prevented the hit....

You CAN hit people in a GOLD hit in PvP, we do not lose experience but do lose gold.
That is not what my question was about. My question was and is:
Does a PvP DQ count if the person hit has PvP protection up and running?
Answer: No, it does not.
It seems that yes you do need to lose experience for a PvP hit to count.
I just got tired of being called a liar and asked for clarification.
