Santork Claws and his Flamedeer have returned!
Santork Claws (Legendary)
Tis the season to be jolly! However the razor handed maniac known as Santork Claws does not agree. He has built an army of Steam powered reindeer capable of great fiery destruction and with them he intends on ruining this happy season for all!
Flamedeer (Legendary)
The maniac Santork Claws has created a mechanical Steam Powered Reindeer army. These constructs are heavily armored and are armed with powerful flame throwers with which to burn all they come across.
Unlike the usual Legendary creatures, Santork and the Flamedeer come in five power levels :
Level : 50
Lesser Santork Claws (Legendary)
Lesser Flamedeer (Legendary)
Level : 150
Santork Claws (Legendary)
Flamedeer (Legendary)
Level : 250
Greater Santork Claws (Legendary)
Greater Flamedeer (Legendary)
Level : 500
Superior Santork Claws (Legendary)
Superior Flamedeer (Legendary)
Level : 750
Supreme Santork Claws (Legendary)
Supreme Flamedeer (Legendary)
They drop various types of Crackers that are extracted into Baubles, with are then used to create items. The recipes for these items can be bought from Santork's Grotto in the Realm of Santork Claws, the stairway to which can be found in the Forest of Yule (Clearing).
Please be aware, the "Convert" recipes (i.e. Convert Lesser Santork Hat) to change original items to Upgraded items are only to be used if you still have original Santork set items. If you don't have those and need to start from Upgraded items, use the "Upgraded" recipes (i.e. Upgraded Lesser Santork Hat) as those only require Baubles from the Cracker drops!
4 new recipes can be found in Santork's Grotto and a new Cracker with Baubles is being dropped too!
These LEs will be active in the Realms until 17:00 hours (Server time) on Wednesday the 28th of December.
Enjoy!

What gives? Are the original items no longer achievable? I can't understand why, if the Cows change stuff around. Why it can't be changed in the UFSG also? Many of us are at a loss as to where to get these original items???

It is all there in the UFSG, Cucullain.
If you have original items, then there is a recipe to convert them to upgraded items.
If you don't have the original items, then there is a different recipe to create the upgraded item purely from baubles.
For example, use either Upgraded Lesser Santork Hat Recipe or Convert Lesser Santork Hat Recipe

Firstly, nice to see Santork and Flamedeer again ...
BUT ...
1. These LEs will be active in the Realms until 17:00 hours (Server time) on Wednesday the 28th of December. <- 48 hrs isn't very long ?
2. I think the process for the higher level santork stuff needs altering ? - it's WAY too convoluted and risky...
To make upgraded items you need to farm the santorks and flamedeers and ..
a ) Have enough backpack and/or component slots to store the drops / extracts
b ) Run the challenge of the RNG to determine if you're successul extracting/inventing.
Then, once you (finally) have the upgraded items, you then need to amass more baubles, from "Superior" santork / flamedeers and ..
a ) Same as above
b ) Same as above
That process will give you the icy and the fiery santork sets if/when you're lucky
THEN, to make the new stuff, you have to have 2 sets of each (PER NEW SET) and, guess what, farm more baubles and ..
a ) Same as above
b ) Same as above
All this to make sets that, in the next few months, will sell for peanuts.
OK, with a massive backpack and a massive component backpack plus Omacaz, this isn't much of a challenge (other than time) but to players without any / all of the above, I'd say it's next to impossible to do for themselves.
So, whilst I like the idea that there are new sets to make again - the process should be, IMO, streamlined and made less convoluted ...

Homer : Marge, don't discourage the boy. Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals .. except the weasel.
Eddie Izzard : The National Rifle Association say that guns don't kill people, people do. But I think the gun helps, you know ? I think it helps. I think just standing there going "BANG" - that's not going to kill too many people, is it ?

Having siad that, I agree its complicated. I reckon you need more than 40 baubles of diffrent colours, from crackers of different colours, so that you can create the lesser, standard and greater items to combine (with more different coloured baubles) into fiery/icy items that you can then combine (with yet more different coloured baubles) into the still higher level items.
But then, the forum is full of complaints that too mch of this game is mindless and too easy. Maybe this one balances things out.

that was what I originally posted in my Guild chat to my fellow Guild members. That they no longer dropped the original items. But unless you click on to a half a dozen pages in The UFSG. It's not really self-explanatory. Actually it's kind of just vacant leaving to speculate and wonder. Really discouraging! But I guess I couldn't have hoped for a better answer from this community :-(It is all there in the UFSG, Cucullain.

Heh! I am a part of "not many folk" Do we have a clubhouse or something?
As with everything else in game, it is a choice for each player; "wanna partake, or not". Can you and I (and some of those fine "not many folk" club members, agree that this is getting rather silly and way too complicated? Properly.
Will someone eye a chance for profit? Most likely.
Will the moo moos change the way it works now? Not the biggest chance of that happening.
Can we hope they put it on their to-do list b4 next years x-mas, to sort out all these weird and tangled recipes? Yes. Yes we can. Till then, have fun and njoy the event - or simply ignore it
No one can deny that we changed this game and influenced it in such a way that NO ONE could compete with us.. so much so that they changed the rules. ~Abhorrence, chosen founder of Cerulean Sins

Oh, I'm not hopeful - I'm pretty sure I suggested the same thing last year and it obviously fell on deaf ears then and I'm expecting the same result this time around

I agree, it's not complicated - just bloody long-winded.
And you need a LOT of BP and a LOT of component slots and more than a fair share of luck - it's too "upgrade-reliant" for many people to even try I feel...
