Can you confirm if the Summers Ending Event will happen ? Even if its the same as last year, there are players in the game who weren't here when we had it before.

It's only the browser plugin that will stop in 2017, the standalone app will still work as before. Java Web Start seems likely, although I can't confirm it right now.

I have a lot of broken trust and disliking towards HCS because of Eldevin. Whatever their new game is, its most likely a replacement for Eldevin. HCS knows Eldevin is dead and only their loyal fans will continue to play it. There's no saving it now since the steam launch was wasted on a half finished game and they wont waste resources to advertise it.

 

I wasted time and money on the game, I gave it all to an inexperienced developer and feel worst for all the people that bought the founders pack (especially the dumb high priced ones, HCS acting like this was some sort of triple-A MMO title) even though there's free (or maybe even stolen) resources and assets (sounds/music is all that I have found) in the game.

 

Hey maybe this is good however for newcomers. At least those people in the future that play HCS's games wont be so open with their wallets, time, trust and love (unless of course HCS hides the truth from them, but I don't think that they are that low).

 

I don't care if this gets deleted or disliked by the white knights or people that have issues against me, its the truth.

We did license some sound and music files which you may have heard in other games, as they were non-exclusive. Nothing we used in Eldevin was stolen. Every asset was either created in house or licensed from appropriate vendors.

 

We're really sorry to disappoint all our loyal, long term players who have stuck with us all this time. We'd like to think that everyone who paid into this game, including our founders, received a lot quality play time and enjoyment out of their investment. However, despite pouring a ton of effort and pride into the game, it hasn't achieved what we needed it to in order to support the development time required. We have reached a point where we have to invest in other projects too or there will be no more Eldevin for anybody.

 

As Hoofmaster already said, we'll still be having the Summer Event and continuing to support the players. We'll post more news when we have it!

i've always loved playing eldevin and still do i just hope that one day that drateols lab comes out and we can pew pew that old bugger

I'm sure they thought all their games were pretty cool, but the vicious cycle continues and I do not see much hope for whatever they create next.

Hmm I've heard there is a sound in Dota 2 that is exactly same with a sound from Skyrim. It's Phantom Assassin's dagger sound effect and Falmer voices.

Also from the Field Raiders voice in Gothic 2 and Geomancer death voice in Dota 1/Warcraft III.

 

Some sound effects like steel clashing during combat are same too.

 

I doubt every game studio made the whole sound effects for the game they made. And sorry I had to mention other game that weren't made by HCS.

If you guys are planning to work on this game again in the future. I think it'd be good if you fix some little broken things in the meantime before you all are busy working to for the new contents. Because the new contents are possible to bring some new bugs once its released and disappoint your loyal players. Once it happened, you all will be busy again to fix the new bugs, working for the new contents again until the old bugs are forgotten to be fixed and more disappointing since you can only make new things that bring more troubles, and even more troubles.
