Is HC winding down this game?

Since the mothership upgrade was a bust and we have bugs with captures that seem to go unresolved, I am wondering if HC is going to cut their losses.

For the past couple of days the special offers have been non existent. Maybe HC has stopped any major offers because they don't want to have refund lots of dollars? Or maybe they are just going to let the game die on its own.

I mean they just did a major give away for the game on Facebook, i doubt their just giving up on it, Sometimes its harder to fix a lower rated game then it is a higher rated game. Because the higher rated game takes a lot of focus off of the developers minds, as well as being very demanding. Even if they were to fix all the bugs for the game and perfect it theres a high doubt in my mind that it would give as big as some of their other titles. Unfortunately..

We're absolutely still working on the game, and if you have reported a bug it will likely be fixed in the next update. Please also bear in mind that we are a fairly small team.  :)

 

We apologise for any server issues that players have experienced recently, and we are working to fix them asap.  Thank you for your patience!

2k shards major give away? more like minuscule 

also admins about the server merges,it needs to happen asap,not next month(as i was informed ingame).bravo desperately needs more life

We decided on 2k shards each for 10 players, because it was for reaching 2k likes. 

 

We have another giveaway coming really soon, and we're happy to take suggestions for the type of prizes you'd like to see!  :)

I mean i sort've like giveaways more then i like passive agressive speakers. more likely to draw players with a give away then to make a post like this :)

sorry if i seem angry,but what can the admins expect with the unfairness of the game(free vs pay)

That is the story with most free to play games, The servers cost money, the domains cost money, and im sure some of the employees if not all cost money.. If they didn't make things pay they wouldn't have any profit, and lets be honest games aren't a no profit organization. Just like us in the real world most people need to make money. 

Ive gotten rank 1 in plenty of games where its pay to win, by just playing enough to win without paying. Yes sometimes its impossible, But if you work harder then most people you can still get ahead. Im proud of the Hunted Cow [In most of their decisions] 

Taking your anger out on their giveaways. and Size of their team is alittle saddening as you can tell their trying in every way that they can. Small team, Small games. It happens.

2k shards is a pretty insignificant amount, but it's better than nothing. As suggested above, daily events with some cool rewards like specialised troops, shields, stuff like that, would be good to have. The time based rewards (the UFO in you HQ), isn't much worth worrying about, and the daily event rewards usually aren't worth the time and effort it requires (except the 5k/2k shards for winning, and then only sometimes). The game needs some more fun.

i know they need to earn their money and all,i respect that,but the gap between pay vs free is very large here,i have been playing almost a year,and i am still far off being "big". but one thing is true,their old servers are dieing off so much,because it is hopeless to fight the big spenders,this is why the merges are needed now.

some great ideas here!

perhaps scale the rewards(not just the requirements)  with the hq level of the player

Indeedo the success of EDF in Alpha1 is through communication, good alliances, a belief in the server as a whole and, most importantly, the mix of p2w and f2p players who support each other in all aspects. Sure, we have some players whose investment in this game is significant, but without our members, many of which pay little or none at all, we wouldn't be where we are. Some of our best are f2p.

unfortunately that's not the case on bravo, i have lost(quit) players from FBI2(ROC) to the high players who just wont stop

 

sure there was peace at times,but not for long

The devs need to make money, and the paying customers should get some advantages, no doubt.

The problem is that there is no disincentive for big players to attack smaller players. You can pull significant resources from a smaller player with little to no risk. Attack a player the same size and you lose lots, so most players attack down, not up.

They need to implement a system that encourages players to attack within a certain range of their level or power. For instance, if a 100m power player attacks a 10m power player, their losses should be multiplied by a significant factor. It's ridiculous to spends minths building defenses and researching defense buffs to see a 100m player attack and onlu lose 75 titan tanks against your 150k commandos.

Thanks for all the feedback here, as Zue has stated we're certainly still working on the game and over the next few months we've more new features and patches planned. The first post Mothership patch will be coming next week with various improvements and bug fixes.
