Gold boosted BB wanted by whom?  Certainly not me, that was a horrible formula to use for bounty creations.  I automatically get bountied for every gold hit I make while someone else hits all day and all night without a single bounty because they didn't take any gold?  Not even close to a good idea.  Auto bounties have no place in the game period because it takes away from the target's ability to bounty who they want, when they want.  If you must have auto bounties (bad idea) then they would have to be based on XP loss, not gold loss.

or they have a 48 hour grace period where they can opt out of the bounty,but after 48 it does it automatically,this would work off every hit gold or no gold

If i remember correctly it didn't even meet the thresh-hold to be polled to be taken away. Usually polls required 70% traditionally. LITERALLY ALL THAT WAS NEEDED TO BE DONE WAS TO ADD AN OPT IN OR OUT FROM THE BEGINNING WITH IT DEFAULT OPT OUT. People were already sour from the exp lose bug and not having a choice but to be added into the mix. If the seasons were brought out without the exp bug and with opt out as an option there would have been NO ISSUE. Bring it back already all this wasted coding for nothing.

Then mainly EOC people would be the ones posted then .. since even a 10 stam hit on someone high in level would trump the xp loss of many people below them. You see the flaw in making it based on xp loss now, right?

 

I'm simply saying .. that BB is more or less dead and has been ever since they went back to the original system for bounties and pvping. I would say the only real pvping going on nowadays is someone hitting 10 stam for a daily quest or a prestige hit. If that is all you want to see, then congrats. I wanted a little more than that. Although, I know your personal past with pvpers hasn't been kind so I can appreciate your unease about going to a pro pvp system.

Due to the current state of activity in the game, I'm okay with an opt out system with it. I do fundamentally think opt out of any kind shouldn't be allowed and the cows completely did a 180 on that stance over the past 5-10 years. I don't remember exactly when. but I do recall seeing a thread post saying opt out would never happen for pvp. But I suppose monetizing pvp opt out was the compromise.

Duh, how about basing it on percentage of players level?  10 stam hit takes X% and 100 stam takes Y%.  Once you reach a preset percentage of XP stolen, say 500%, then a bounty is automatically triggered or is that too much math for you?  Again, I'm not saying I want auto bounties, I think it's a bad idea, I just said there was a better formula to use than gold loss if you absolutely must have them.  Carry on.

some times/days even are more active than others + spikes when there's smashing going on between two players/guilds.

 

I've done 250+ clears just the last two months and I only go for FSP rewards bounties, there's plenty more at the lower levels for a small amount of gold which I skip

 

Board is pretty dead most of the time, very few gold hits happening out there, most bounties I see are posted all at once by a player - either they've been hit for gold,DQ,smashed hourly or they are smashing someone/been smashed by a party.

Outside of the spikes it's pretty quiet most of the day, lucky to see 1 an hour sometimes.

I don't post a 10 stam hit, because that's my way.  A 100 stam hit gets posted as a matter of policy.... I mean, nobody gets away with slugging a little old crippled lady

 

Some people post me for a DQ, others don't .  I usually have 2-5 eligible active players in range at any given time anyway, most are OK with a tit for tat... some aren't....

I'm almost inclined to start randomly 100 stam hitting people everyone at EOC just to get posted in order to spur on the BB system haha.

 

Again my point is that BB is more or less dead, outside of a grudge against a certain person a few times a week at best. Let's consider your a new player, how are you to earn a BB medal when there are virtually no bounties / no active pvp game going on (excluding the "tit for tat", 10 stam prestige hits, DQ hits, etc.).

Already been mentioned to change the way prestige is allocated - 1 point for every 10 stam used.  Grim liked the idea but that doesn't mean it will be implemented anytime soon, or even at all.
