Welcome to the Grand Graphic Tournament - Round One! <3

 

EVERYONE in the game is encouraged to vote or their favorite among the graphics below. 

Tick in the corresponding numbers in the poll above to place your votes!

3 polls above, vote for your FAVORITE, SECOND, and THIRD place. Do NOT vote for the same sig more than once, or it will not count!

1st favorite gives = 5 points to that sig.

2nd favorite gives = 3 points to that sig.

3rd favorite gives = 1 point to that sig.

 

To help the artists out, please post in the thread why you voted the way you did. <3

 

Round one:

 - Theme: Sports

 - Renders/Stocks/Photos:

 

 

Each artist may only enter with one entry.

All entries must be created by you, in other words: No ripping.

Entries must not be signed by the user creating them. This is to ensure anonymous voting.

The theme and stocks/renders/photos are provided by the host (Mzzery).

You are not permitted to tell anybody to vote for your entry by any method of communication, or vote for yourself. If caught, you will be banned from all future competitions.

All entries must be unique and new.

Deadline for votes: Monday August 28th 6pm Server Time!

 

The one with the fewest votes at the end of this round will be eliminated, and not participate in round 2.

 

Round 2 will be posted when the voting ends for round one. This means that whomever gets eliminated will make a gfx for round 2 but it will not be posted. HOWEVER, that person will get the elimination-prize for round 1, if he/she submits an entry for round 2 to Mzzery.

Mzzery will NOT tell anyone who it was that made the eliminated entry, this is completely up to the artist if they wish people to know or not. This is so that nobody will feel embarrassed or anything, about getting eliminated. We hold this competition for FUN, not to make people feel bad, so.. <3

 

If anyone drops out, and does NOT make an entry for the next round, they get nothing. Nobody gets eliminated in such a case, since the number of artists auto-lowered.

 

Prizes will be:

Round 1 eliminatee: 10 FSP

Round 2: 15 FSP

Round 3: 20 FSP ... etc

When there are 3 left, we move into the FINALS!

The WINNER gets 60% of the remaining prize pool!

2nd gets 25%!

3rd gets 15%!

To help the artists out, please post in the thread why you voted the way you did.

 

#7 because it shows at least an hour of work, good lighting, and good position of the bubbles and ball as if it was a tail flick

#4 because sometimes simple is better, plus imagining a little crab shooting miniature footballs on a beach is awesome
#6 because of the lighting

#6 It's a very nicely done sig.  Great placement and lighting.  Looks like a movie poster or a book cover.  I really like it. lol
 

#1 Overall a very good sig.  I like the coloring and the c4d's that were used.
 

#8 It made me smile and I find it to be a very clever sig.
 

Great job to everyone that entered.  It was hard to pick the top 3.

#7 In my opinion was the best! It just reminds me of "Finding Nemo" and my FS name is actually based on the most underrated character of that film 

 

#4 Is next up and as much as I hate "Handegg" It's simple, nice and bright!

 

#1 Was my final choice honestly because I kinda like Tennis lol

#6 Like the underwater feel of it. Really looks like a picture. Plus i love fishing

 

#7 Very colorfull. Like somebody else said, it really reminds me of finding nemo with all the bright colors!

 

#5 Very different from all the others. Looks like the idea behind it was some sort of ancient scroll, worked out nicely!

Hi All,

my personal favourite is SIG #4 (nice choice of colours, lights)

 

as second choice I vote SIG #5 (originality, a very nice picture, good skills in painting)

 

as third choice: SIG #6 (humour,  good effects for bubbles and prospective)

 

but I want to say "Good job to all participants, I would like to create something similar!

My first choice absolutely has to be #7. Simply by an enormous margin, it's the best piece there. The work put into it is amazing and it's the standout piece from the selection. Thoroughly impressive.

 

The second choice is #1. I like this piece a lot. Hard to articulate as to why. Partially I suspect the colouring of the image but mostly because I am a Tennis fanatic.

 

My third choice is #8. Great piece. Again might be because I am a massive fan of the Olympics but still great art nonetheless.

Apologies my reasoning / feedback is far from useful for any graphic designer. Hardly pointers on lighting, context or colouring but I am no artist and it's hard to articulate as to why I enjoy a piece of art over another. Whilst wanting to also avoid appearing like a caveman that points to things he likes and utters "that one".
