That's all the optimizations finished for today, we moved Memcache, optimized MySQL and ditched our old CDN provider in favour of running our content through Cloudflare.

 

So please let me know how I did? If you experience any slow down or latency please make sure it's not your connection by trying other websites then let us know here. Time and date of slow down or errors are important so please include them.

It was better this morning and has been this evening too, for the most part.

Then all of sudden, a slight bit of lag with some images not loading and then...

I waited a minute and tried again, and it was fine. Hopefully just a random hiccup.

Yes was good all day and night for till about a couple of mins ago but seems good again at the moment

I did some fragment hunting both on 15th and 17th of Dec, between 19-21 PM. I cant say it was considerably better yesterday after your supposed optimizations. Whereas most of the FS pages are loading fine (but still slightly slower than it used to be  before you switched servers), action list on world map is just lagging as hell...   after i kill the mobs (say, 1-2-3-4) on a spot, the wheel icons on action list just keep spinning for 3....10....sometimes 20 seconds or even more...  I used to be able to burn at least 4-5 times more stam with the same timeframe before...  that should give an idea just how much worse it has gotten now....

perhaps you could look into what's causing problems on the world map in particular and direct your "magic" there...

A very specific process runs at 17 minutes past the hour. I've taken a look at this process and added a lot of extra indexes to the database to accommodate the queries it runs. Let me know if it still happens.

now is the double xp event..what optimizations ? the website is running slower than ever and will not be enjoyable to use for a hunt..I am not sure what has happened..but I am highly disappointed in the results I have gotten today..shame I can't enjoy the event that I was looking forward to playing all week  : (

I came back to the game after 7 or 8 months away to find little to no updates, then a flurry of activity and an 'Optimization'.  I'm half way through my hunt and the game is broken.

 

Total waste of money, fsp, chests, pots and most importantly, my time.

We added extra server capacity earlier today to help make the game run more smoothly during the event. We'll keep monitoring it and do our best to keep lag down to a minimum.

it's always risky taking advantage of an event the first day.. keep that in mind after a release of one.. it's like that for a lot of online games.. best to wait till the next day to burn those invaluable resources.. paying attention to the global chat and forum, you'll see if others are having problems.. best to stand on the sidelines and take advantage or help out with what you can..

I'm not seeing any lag at the moment when moving around the map. Can you possibly try another browser?
