i would rather a game to concentrate on the quality of their product to keep up attendance up, rather than by giving away free stuff (xp)
not the best analogy: a restaurant that gives away free food attracts people to their doors expecting more free food, more often - beggars, that can drive away higher class crowds
fact is, you can have an xp event any time you want, for as long as you want, using AL 500/750 pots you can obtain by donating or buying in AH

whoa whoa whoa.. we are talking about, if anything, a buy one get one free deal.. you don't just show up to fallen sword and get free XP.. you have to play..
