To be frank, I really don't expect anyone to be forthcoming and state, "yeah, I wouldn't burn all my stam. if there was not recognition", that's not human nature.

To be frank, yes: if i know i wouldnt make it into top 100, i wouldnt have hunted today.

My first hunt, the first day, got me 14K and something kills, good for a top 100 spot then, but i knew i would be bumped out. I waited untill the end and i did the math. I knew i would make it to top 100 (barely) so i hunted all my stamina today aswell.

Now if i would have known they would extend it, or if there wouldnt have been a time limit, i can certainly tell you that i wouldnt have spent my stamina today, there are other things to spend stamina on too (hunting, titans)

If i would have been bumped out within time limit, then no problem at all. you win some and you lose some, i gave it a shot with all i had. At least my effort contributes to the global amount.

Event has not ended yet but will be shortly. Thanks to those of you who have listed the top 100 at the appointed time. We shall see what we can do to set this right.

Thank you BG.

I am actually one of those ppl who got bumped out of the top 100 after time was over. I must say that i had to struggle till the end for a top 100 spot with my limited stamina. When i finally stopped (ran out of stamina for the 3rd time) i was in top 100 without much time left. I didnt check the forums because i was so busy with the event, so i didnt know it would be extended.

I am sorry to read this kind of topic.

Fresh starters should get treated well, maybe this is one of the reasons we have less players than before. With all efforts hcs is doing to attract new starters, the guildfounders are chasing them away right when they join.

Also i think the topic will get deleted ( unless you edit out the names). Its not allowed to name other players in the forums. Just name them x and y.

If you find a guild where you feel good in, stick to it. No reason to leave now that i am reading what is out there.

In Topic: GvG and New Players.

I voted yes to protection, and i voted lvl 25 for the cap. Delighted to see that wil72 votes the same, so we do actually agree  :)

Some players start a game and learn quick, for them its easy to reach lvl 25 in 1 or 2 days. They are quick learners, so they will quickly learn about gvg too, as a hitter or a target. Either way, those players are the ones who adapt to a new game quickly, and they dont need much extra care.

Other players however need time to learn a game, they will learn about the game if they feel like it, or when they have time for it. They can take a week, or longer to reach lvl 25. During that time those players are volnerable, and they need protection imo. Maybe they havent even decided if this is a game that they like and if they want to keep playing. During that time hopefully they will get the hang of the game, and get 'hooked' to it, like we all are. Once they are hooked, they take more time to learn.

I know that when i started it took me weeks to get hooked, the first few logins i had no clue about leveling, let alone gvg/pvp. I just walked around in mountain path without a clue, when i saw another player on a square i quickly ran away, afraid to get hit, lol.  RP didnt exist back then, and my guild had alot of patience with me. I dare to say if i would have found my logs full of defeats, i probably wouldnt have kept playing. Even though gvg hits are pretty harmless, i would feel guilty towards my guild for being the cause of all those defeats.

Players who quit dont always leave their guilds. They just dont log in anymore, but for 7 days they are still a target in gvg. Over time that has caused less guilds to do efforts in recruiting starters and training them in the game. With a cap i hope more guilds will recruit lvl 1's.

Should those slow adaptors be farmed as soon as they start? certainly not imo.

What is a reasonable level for the cap? i voted 25, but it could just as well be 50. Anyway: if fresh starters get some time to get 'hooked' they are more likely to stay. How long depends on their own learning curve, if they level fast/slow. There is no way they can take advantage of staying below the cap, so eventually everybody becomes a target anyways. In fact, if there are less quitters, there should be more targets available.
