Hopefully more people will come next week for the Easter event:Spring Tide. But that's only if the devs have created new stuff for ppl who played it last year.

I dunnno ..... im a rather new player but it seems everyone is 49 or an alt charakter of a high level player xD

(of course thats not 100% true but sometimes it really seems like that xD)

maybe this question is a bit ... unspecific.... to be more accurate "abondoned" by players or staff xD

 

sorry my sense of humor is a bit questionable (for some ppl at least)

while there have been older players that moved on, a few came back perhaps to play some or check to see what's up I still find some of us still playing whether it's more casually or not ( as to how much time they play daily/weekly) and I've seen and met some new players ( some may have just came to check out game, others I seen above level 10+ already who told me they were new and been playing for weeks to a few months) however yes, community seems perhaps smaller or even maybe around the same as it was when I joined 2yrs ago which was small then as well.

 

It is apparent to a lot of players that remember when we saw more dev activity in forum and in game that it feels like they are not as active however there was a fairly recent post that they were still indeed working on the new content ( not sure which parts they will actually throw at us whenever that is) but I think perhaps as some fear they may be working on other things leaving mostly this game to come what may.  ( still holding out hope they haven't given up on it and are working on ways to improve things from game content updates to advertising or anything to keep this game going to get players to try game and stick with it. )

 

I rather not become overly negative at this point since I still enjoy some play in this game and if I was at that point of total negative mode I'd just stop playing again so I'm just going to stick to the half glass full part for now then half empty or all empty glass, if that makes any sense

If we look at the graph depicting the number of players online it seems to be pretty close to the same as it was when i joined Nov 2004.  I am seeing a surge in new players appearing on the US server. I can't speak for the other servers though. I suspect that many of the veteran players have the impression that the game is dying because many of their friends have quit playing.  Once one has reached level 49 it's hard to find common ground with lower level players  so the perception becomes "Hey where did everyone go?" It's a rare game that holds players longer than 2-3 years anyway.

 

 I don't know where those who are constantly complaining about the rate of new content release have experienced more rapid development.  Of the 10's and 100's of thousands of games released only a tiny fraction reach critical mass to justify huge development staffs.  I have to agree with Blissy that there is still plenty of fun to be had with the game even with slow development. Maybe i am simple minded but i still enjoy leveling new characters and making new friends in the game.

Last info given from staff major update with level 50 content as well at least 1 new Dungeon explore of 3, Possible working on the other 2 limited info stated 1 will be for sure.

As has been stated many understand limited staff, so getting major update some thing as simple as Dungeon take some time.

Over all, As right with lack general update info many fill discouraged to so lack of any post from devs even if simple hello hard at work.

Bene - lower level 49 need minal level 46 in group completed only for higher levels not low level

Crafting/gathering -

2. Weeklys

ToC - 50 alot harder at level 49 sadly loot is horrible not worth repair fees for even for reward.

Raid boss then world boss, Mostly done after reset on Saturday limited chance get done thought out the week lack of people.

CC comand center mini boss consider completed quest in area

More.

 

3. world boss - Elite troll - every 4 hr's or so spawn around world - 3 severs more chance find

 

Conisder completed most dailys and genral weekly consider find group there is not alot to do at lvl 49

 

Side content vs weekly/dailys

CC boss grinding run same lower level DGN with no change other then SV small change in path but still all 3/4 route are same every time run them.

 

Over all, alot to do not much in the end game worth staying around for some one with out group run most content yet alown finding group run with there not much left other then log in do crafting dailys/gathering TA waiting around for PL - try find some hunt CC boss or kill them solo consider have gear to do so.

Doesn't look abandoned to me. Our guild is full with 32/50 playing within the last 24 hours, only 7 inc 3 ranked players being absent for over 1 week. Forty three members are levels 14-35 and 90% of those have only been playing since Dec/Jan.  onwards. We cant be the only guild like that, see others with plenty of new players.

If you look at the bigger picture ~100 players maximum online on 3 different servers that is pretty much dead..... Such games are meant for a few thousand players per server (at least that's how I know it from other games I won't mention).

Ive seen single "private servers" of games with more active playing ppl at the same time.

Sure if ~40 ppl of your guild logged in in the last 24hrs that's good but don't forget 3 servers and 24hrs are a long time in the virtual world especially cause you never know if someone played for 5 minutes or 5 hours.

If you look at it like that it is pretty much dead.
