bad idea for game/economy. Needs to be tradeable, Incentivizes purchasing FSP too.

As others have said - there also needs to be more to bring value to RP. As much as I dislike having a multitude of different currencies across the same aspect, maybe look at adding something extra to GvG so that way when the introduction of new gear (what's really needed) comes around, people can't just buy immediately with stored RP.

+8 GvG epics, have the new currency be heavily throttled so only very few of them can be generated. Probably something that would be rewarded based on a theoretical GvG Ladder reset system.

With nothing of substance in this update, I have to say I am utterly disappointed. It wouldn't have been that difficult to add some sort of ladder reset to GvG. Don't get it twisted by the number of posts on this thread, many people have lost even the motivation to express their dissatisfaction, I'm surprised I'm even here myself. I can say this with certainty being in two of the largest non HCS discord's where there is nothing but negativity.

Expanding Range and notifications were supposed to compliment a bigger feature update not be the entire "update".

As a long time player I can safely say there is nothing more for me to do in the game. The reason people stop logging in is because there is nothing new for them to do. Without UFSG being fixed I cannot be certain, but based off the supply I've experienced in game it was surely a light xmas, even lighter next year without any substance.

Please consider working on an "Update 2" for GvG that includes a new competitive system.

Okay, Frag Stashes are a big yes. Rather, substantial Frag Stashes are requested. That's definately something we can add.

 

I reckon you've changed my mind on Potions. Ideas for potions are welcome, though remember some buffs are specific to Potions, Composing etc.

 

Not gonna see FSP, when Mystic Chests give Shards.

 

Quest Items specifically for Invention is definately something that I hope would be interesting.

Upgrades? Unlikely. But who knows?

Conserve or AL 800 could be on the table. Probably stick it at a low duration like 60m though. 

Overkill 1100 could be fun.

I think it would be fine if there were more powerful potions like conserve 800. There would not be enough of them brought into the game to be used often.

Having more powerful potions in chests makes the most sense because supply is low and demand is high. The issue with very powerful potions is when the supply is unlimited so it can just be used all the time.

Chi Strike 750 is debatably one of the most OP potions in the game (Comes from chests) and because of it's low supply you have to pick and choose when to use it.

I don't think anyone would have any gripes if another powerful potion (maybe leveling related) was added to chests.

Since there is heads up before a conflict will begin

 

RP conflict pack at cost of 5 

 

deflect 175 + UB 175 + Invigorate 175

 

Break it down to 6hrs if you have to...prefer the normal 12 hrs

I was thinking higher than invig 175 as we can already cast higher.

Is it not possible to have a more flexible system where you can build your own packs? Each skill is weighted to have a different RP cost. Just a quick thought, pretty timeless system :).

Just please add GvG Ladder resets. Nothing changes fundamentally without it. Fresh feel will be great and something to constantly work towards or get involved.

To the guys wanting an "opt out" option.  That will destroy GvG in total.  If they could implement a 0 durability(unbreakable) to defenders of GvG it'd be better!  The offensive attacks could still get durability taken away.  Just a  thought.

No, gear breaking is part of the strategy of GvG. Not another way to buff GvG Defense.

While i think some of the proposed changes are good. One of the big problems with Ladder is the ELO system. It does not reset and it becomes very hard to climb ladder once you have the advantage of sitting up top and defending. Any plans to have ladder resets and rewards for top guilds every so often?

It is very stagnated due to this.

Since we are discussing the revamping of GVG, many players and or guilds still do not like to participate in GVG or latter combat. I think the mechanism for GVG should be able to be turned off or opted in or out like the latter. This could be a founder's control as the founder would know the pulse of his guild insofar as GVG participation.

Totally disagree, quick way to have 0 participation. You don't lose XP so don't see the need to opt out.

Yea it is an easy change but the issue with the ladder is that it needs an entire overhaul not just one tiny insignificant change. If the only change they make is something as insignificant as this the ladder is doomed. There really isn't much difference between strategically positioning yourself on inactive an ladder doing 1 10 stam hit against inactives afk farming tokens.

  • There needs to be something worth the cost of competition.
  • There needs to be something that discourages people deleveling to inactive brackets where at most they have to do 1 10 stam hit. (This has been going on for over a decade and no one has been outraged over this. The entire ladder system encourages inactivity. On a lot of the ladders there will be one person who does 1 10 stam hit and there are 2-3 other AFK joiners that sit there to farm pvp tokens because why not.)
  • Lets also not forget about the ladders that are just full of guild mates where they rotate every reset because they cannot attack each other.
  • We are still waiting for some buff balance, specifically on the chance buffs.
  • There needs to be some sort of element of fun, the ladder is pretty stale.
  • If you ask me, you shouldn't win the ladder if you ended up first in the last couple of seconds. It should take into consideration time spent in each ranking position throughout

I'm sure there is more that I'm missing.

Again with the not-quite-so-subtle dig at me.

So, how would having a buff that indicated if there was a chest either on the map or on a map within "x" level range require ANY more thought than the way it is currently - other than, of course, being an average player smart enough to actually cast the buff upon themself.

 

It just simplifies the process, exactly the same as it would have were it for the SE hunting instead. You want chests, look for them. You want SE's, look for them.

The system isn't broken ergo it doesn't need fixing.
 

Not sure why you keep bringing yourself into every argument. However we can agree to disagree here on some points. We both agree it is boring.
