#808211 World Chat Mods

How could anyone answer this poll.

The polling questions itself does not compute.

What exactly are the Chat Mod's authorities.

How many Chat Criterias and what are they.

#807771 Development Roadmap

Global Chat sounds good. I always give free buffs. ALWAYS.

But I certainly won't spend a purple to tell people that I do so.

#788354 Stop trading yourself naked on the BB!

Posted by Denyza on 04 May 2013 - 18:21 in General Discussion

Blah... blah... blah... me me me me me myself myself opinion opinion...

Your own opinion is what matter the most, doesn't it?

There's absolutely zero point in discussing opinion.

Different opinion contains different concept. Therefore the very idea to argue which one is better is completely pointless, because each opinion are developed by different basic assumptions and concepts. It's apple and orange, nobody can define which one taste better.

Now... having said that,

Unfortunately I don't argue opinion. It's not my style.

I just present you the cold hard empirical fact, as in the rule made by the cows.

You can twist and turn the way you want it, the fact remains, the cows clearly stated that it applies only to GvG verbatim. Period. And it will remain that way until the cows say otherwise.

No argument possible here, for me.

Nobody has the right to define anything, beside the cows.

Unless... they just like to hear their own voice, or in this case, read their own opinion.

Please, show me again your OPINION, why I am wrong and you are right.

So basically I disagree with your opinion, therefore I am wrong.

Got it. Thanks.

1. Prestige points and Smasher Medal are different with RP points. They are not trade-able for profit and frankly virtually next to worthless, just for bragging rights at best
2. The rule is "Guild Conflict" verbatim. Your own interpretation is irrelevant.
3. Finding GvG target is much harder than bounty targets, as they are all listed in the board. Therefore posting FSBox is much more vital for GvG. Restriction to make FSBox post would hardly make any difference for deleveling via bounty.
3. How cares. The Bounty Board is dead anyway.
4. Getting butt-naked is a basic human right.
5. I am a clever chappie with Master degree in Sociology, scored 3,68 GPA out of 4,00.
6. Unfortunately I still can't count well.
7. Cats are cuter than dog.
8. Chuck Norris.

#786551 Everything PvP. A bored PvP players' thoughts

Posted by Denyza on 24 April 2013 - 11:59 in General Discussion

You just grew out of this game. We all did.

After a while, the novelty wears out and we become bored. It's not just Fallensword, it happens in all games. And for me, even though I'm bored with it now, Fallensword lasted much longer than any other game I've ever played by far. Before Fallensword, I never even thought the possibility of playing the same game for 4-5 years.

#784823 Is anyone still working on FSH?

Posted by Denyza on 15 April 2013 - 21:35 in General Discussion

I think if you hide the Hunted Cow bar in the Preferences it may fix the issue :)

Just tried it, but unfortunately it does not.

But thanks for trying.

#784707 Is anyone still working on FSH?

Posted by Denyza on 15 April 2013 - 18:26 in General Discussion

Are you being cute?

The FSH team and their work are grossly unappreciated here.

FSH is one of very few reason why this game is playable at all to some people, including me.

Without it I would certainly, have quit the game years ago.

And if people as dedicated as the FSH team themselves have stop caring about the game now, why should I even bother?

So once again, do anyone know if they're still working on FSH?

#784689 Is anyone still working on FSH?

Posted by Denyza on 15 April 2013 - 18:00 in General Discussion

This update broke the battle calculator on FSH.

And for me, this game is that much less playable without it.

#783664 Heavy Weight should be a Lv.1 Buff

Posted by Denyza on 04 April 2013 - 03:32 in General Discussion

If one of the main idea of Heavy Weight is to stimulate more PvP, why made it a Lv.1600 buff?

#778098 Why dont you like PvP?

Posted by Denyza on 13 February 2013 - 09:19 in General Discussion

Hitting an unbuffed player with crappy gear, sure, that is simple and has its fair share of randomness (2% + enhancements). Hitting a player in decent gear, with even a few basic PvP buffs can be more challenging than PvE, arena, titans etc.

There are plenty of challenging and realistic pvp targets out there that are not too hard to find. You aren't forced to attack the easy ones if you decide to PvP.

Imo it is actually quite the opposite of what you say.

No it's not. First, adding buffs doesn't make the game more strategic-based, just makes it even more random.
Second, if you like the game and find it challenging, then by all means, play it. Just don't make it something it is not.

PvP feature in this Fallensword IS POOR, as in ridiculously simple and very random.
Period.

I even have a porn scroll-adventure game which offer more strategy and character customization than this game.
Yes, I've played a porn game which has better fighting engine than Fallensword.
I am sorry for sounding rude, but I always call it like I saw it.

Anyway... It is apparent that we have a completely different concept of "challenging". For me it involves micro-managing, whether it's strategy, formation, skill set, move set, unit type, weapons, magic, spacing, terrains, or whatever. Unfortunately, strategy in this game limited to changing gears, buff yourself to mojo, and hope that 2% or other chances buffs doesn't screw you up by activating at the same time. IS. THAT. SIMPLE.

I'm not going as far as saying that PvP in this game is all bad. As I say before, some people like it simple. If you did found that this game with all its simplicity is challenging, then good for you. I'm saying that for me, PvP in this game lack strategy and depth, and way too random for my taste.

#778076 Why dont you like PvP?

Posted by Denyza on 13 February 2013 - 04:23 in General Discussion

Reason no.1 (simple):
Scroll Adventure game, like FS, never really meant for PvP feature.

Reason no.2 (elaborate):
In addition to that, FS has the simplest and ultimately the worst PvP engine of all Scroll Adventure games I've ever played. I've played around 4 web-based scroll adventure game, and believe me... FS has -BY FAR- the worst PvP engine. PvP here basically boils down to main 2 determining variables: timing and luck. Your success rate is based on catching your target off-guard and how lucky you are in bypassing defensive countermeasure such as first strike, piercing, critical, buffs, etc.

Implication:
The implication is, sooner or later I would eventually feel "cheated" because the I feel that I do not have full control of all affecting variables. And I believe that is a fair, justified statement, because in fact none of the players have it. The RNG does. And it feels really bad when you've prepared everything right yet still lost a battle, for no reason other than just because the "RNG feels like it".

Conclusion:
So that's why PvP in FS is so unappealing to me. Not because it costs exp. Not because it costs gold. Those are just insults to the existing injuries. I dislike PvP because it's so very simplistic and very random. Some people may actually like PvP because it's simple and random, but I believe most do not.

In the end... everytime I want to PvP, I play Street Fighter IV or Defense of The Ancients 2. I feet that I have much more control to the outcome on those games, which in the end, makes the gameplay feels "fair" with more "deserving" outcomes -even of I lose-.

That's why I dislike Fallensword's PvP.
Hope it helps.

#777907 Upcoming Buffs!

Posted by Denyza on 12 February 2013 - 12:19 in General Discussion

Need Tweaks:
1. Buff enhancer: Potion Only
5. Pride : Cute, but only useful to a very small amount of user.
7. Defence booster : Good, but overlaps with Coord Defense.
8. Armor booster : Good, but overlaps with Coord Defense

Probably Not Needed:
4. Trendy : Does not look good. Breaks Smashing Hammer, Coord Att, and Coord Def. And would also breaks new buffs like Defence Booster and Armor Booster.
6. Block : Overlaps with Force Shield. Doesn't look needed.
18. Allied Frenzy : Useless unless Assist gets a much higher activation chance.
19. Heavy Weight : This is a double-edge sword. It could encourage people to sell their gold at higher rate to reduce their gold fast after each hit.
23. Artful Bandit : So you're saying with this buff, attackers not only get 3 times more gold but also a chance to escape bounties? If it does, I would have to disagree with this buff.
24. Quick Attack : Overlaps with Swift Strike. First Strike is already strong as it is.
34. Shield Wall : Looks like a clone of Defense Booster.
39. Precision Strike: Looks useless. Complete opposite of the concept of hunting in FS, which is gets as much damage as you can. It probably support only Arterial Strike, but breaks all damage enhancing buffs.

The rests looks fine to me.

#773238 Are returning player rewards supporting multi activity?

Posted by Denyza on 12 January 2013 - 08:14 in General Discussion

Again, this board is stuck in discussing theories and concept with little attachment to actual activity and empirical condition. It's understandable though... people tend to get all hyped up in discussing all the "chances" and "possibilities", with little consideration of the actual, empirical condition on real people.

This is a good example of the very problem which is plaguing modern day people.

On a rather unimportant side note:
It reminds me to H.Babha's hibridity or E.Said orientalism. "Intelligent" people all talk about it like it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, ignoring the fact that the actual practice of both concepts in real life society, are pretty much non-existant. *shudder* God that was stupid.

Anyway, I've said everything I want to say. If it could at least, become food for the thought, then I am happy. If you choose to discuss the theories, and chances, and possibilities, or whatever else, then it's your choice. Just tell me when someone actually get a medal in 20 days.

#773234 Are returning player rewards supporting multi activity?

Posted by Denyza on 12 January 2013 - 06:47 in General Discussion

Sigh...
You guys are making a problem out of something that is next to non-existant in empirical condition.
So if I got this right, the hypothesis would be:
There is this purple making "scheme" in which people would:

1. Create an alt account
2. Play it until he reach lv.20 - with only 500 stamina, mind you
3. Let it go inactive for 3 months
4. Generate recruiting password thing from his main account to his alt account
4. Log in to his alt account again - after 3 months-, use the password, and play it again for another 50 level
5. Keep logging in for another 20 days
6. And if - the keyword here is IF APPROVED - by the cows, it would get him a total of 360 purple; which by then, he would still have to figure out how to transfer 110 purples to his main account without raising cow's suspicion.

Seriously, which sane person would go all through that? It will take around 4 months to do. So before you even argue the possibility of some retard nerd in doing all that, first you need to ask yourself. Would you do it? And answer it honestly, would YOU do it? Because I am sure as hell I won't.

*sarcastic roll eyes

I would pay purples for these, if I still play the game.
Just so you know.

#764437 Lower level Guild Feautures (higher guilds to powerful)

Posted by Denyza on 21 November 2012 - 10:26 in General Discussion

Guild Level is just an illusion. It means absolutely nothing.
What a guild really needs is purples to buy gears and upgrades.
A lot of purples. Gold tax barely helps.
I know a guild founder who said, if you have less than 3000 fsp, don't start a guild.
You'll end up wasting your investment.

#761888 Did you throw away your Spook Smasher set?

I'm itching to get rid of mine, but I'm not sure it's a good idea.

Are we suppose to keep the spook smasher set forever?

#757237 A solution to end the dropping levels intentionally gig

Posted by Denyza on 04 October 2012 - 08:39 in General Discussion

This thread is a perfect example how childish and arrogant some people can be.
They think they define the rule and hold the highest authority in deciding what's right, even more than the cows themselves.
Thus, there's nothing left to say but...

"Grow up!"

#757159 A solution to end the dropping levels intentionally gig

Posted by Denyza on 04 October 2012 - 01:05 in General Discussion

Is it really worth it being that petty over guild xp - it's not like it's causing you to any kind of hurt...

You are wrong, honey. It is hurting their feeling. And as you know, feeling is important.

#757090 A solution to end the dropping levels intentionally gig

Posted by Denyza on 03 October 2012 - 16:44 in General Discussion

I've been trying to seriously read the whole thread and I only came up with 3 conclusions:

1. You don't like when EoC players gain more gxp, for God-knows whatever reason you have. Which also proves that, none of you know how ridiculously costly losing levels is. We're talking about dozen of thousands stam wasted on just on smashing.
2. You don't like when EoC players get their Smasher medal without your permission. Because obviously only "real" PvP-ers can define what is allowed and whatnot in PvP.
3. You just don't like EoC players.

Btw, I honestly think that the third conclusion is winning.
