Hello Tilley!

 

Hoof is looking to revert Dark Curse either today or early next week  :) We will let everyone know when this is done!

 

The new roadmap will also be available next week as well  :D

The new roadmap is going to be the months ahead of the current? Or might there be some changes to the current one?

New roadmap will cover November through to February 2022  :)

 

Admittedly we've had to do some reshuffling, but these roadmaps should be seen more like a guideline and are always subject to change, especially if we feel some things need to be pushed forward or need more time.

Hi Team
 
In your initial feedback post, I requested you guys to bring up potential changes for discussion before they are implements so we the players who play Fallensword every day could provide context to how the changes would play out. Dark Curse nerfs are not the answer.
 
Dark Curse nerf means:
-Defense setups is now an even more effective strategy ( It's already preferred in 90% of situations)
 
-Armor setups have to need way more attacks to compensate which is already hard to do but now given the nerf + Flinch staying as is they are not viable for PVP unless you are turtling
 
 
Going forward, PVP is going to be boring, most combats are going to end based on 2%. PVP should always favor the attacker otherwise it's no longer fun.

 

 

I agree. I don't recall ever using an armor based set-up when leveling, titan hunting (most high level titans have piercing strike, critical strike, etc), sometimes arena, and sometimes ladder in certain level ranges. 

 

Edit: looks like DC is being reverted back in a few days.

If attackers have the advantage its anyones game so long has they know how to counter gear of buffs.

If defenders have the advantage its a stalemate, people may try but if you have to commit 50% resources than the defender at a chance to win it feels bad. Not many can afford to play that game either.

 

With the amount of chance buffs added to the game, its often a 50/50 coin flip on attacks if both people are buffed up. The exception being if one person has access to OP composed buffs / donation level buffs in the battle. Although I can see how nerfing DC by 1/2 will cause a lot of unresolved combats.

Thank you Arioche, the rest of the update was just wonderful :). New Roadmap in a few months oh that sounds awesome!

Slight recommendation when doing and presenting buff changes. Please put the previous buff description and show what it's changed to.

 

I would also really like to see what the buff was originally (description / max level) to what the proposed change is. Just post we are changing sometime to X isn't really helpful.

Just like what was done to Honor and Guild Buffer can Balance Attack/Defense be moved down to the bottom of the tree?maybe level 75 or 150? They are useless past level 225 and will see no use afterwards. those 2 buffs are Cord Attack/Defense knockoffs. give it to the lower level brackets :)

when's the next app update? ...

..plus think about expanding the pvp attack levels more.. I can barely do my dailies with the actives in my range and I'm rank 1132 in the whole game with 3000ish levels above me

They ought to implement smart ranges for those areas. something like >5 targets = +- whatever and <5 targets +- a bigger number

Secondly, there is now an option for the Guild Leader to disband unwanted Relics. Once disbanding a Relic, the same guild cannot recapture the Relic for 24 hours. Permissions for capturing Relics will be added at a later date when the app is in a more stable state.

I'm not entirely sure, but I seem to remember hearing that if there are multiple founders in a guild, only the primary can disband?  Maybe they should have made this an assignable permission rather than one fixed to the Founder?

 i don't have a theme, what ever default theme is, that's what im using. tried with and without helper. tried standing  on relic. removing empowerment. maybe it got turned off with the chest and or  the Accept or Decline Allies page..

I tried everything and the only way I found to get the permission back to remove relics was by changing founders.

Guild log notifications (the ones that show on the margins) are repeating for me. It shows the latest log as unread, even though I have seen it already.

[Edit: actually, the latest guild log entry does not appear, when the notification does. I need to go back somewhere else and return to the gild log to see the latest entry.]

 

Also new attack group notifications don't appear the moment I log into the game. I need to go to any of the menu options (world tab, guild tab, etc.), before the notification displays. If the groups were created a few hours ago, the notifications should be there already.

Mehteh Snow Fields (Edge) and Ymirheim Mountains (Base) have really poor color contrast. Can either of the colors be darkened slightly for these realms? Also, where the realm design uses a gif (for example Nis Port Center), is there an option in the preferences that those realms appear static?
