#1009912 Realm Chest Update Ideas.

Posted by asterxemil on 31 October 2023 - 11:53

Interesting idea. I dig it.Will note this idea down too.~ Grim

How about like… a sorta Cow themed piñata as the chest? Maybe even give reference to HCG staff?

Arioche’s Cloche, Stash of Hoof’s Hooves, Grim’s Grimmer Glimmers? Maybe even run a player contest to have them design and come up with good chest ideas/contents? The Titan Design was a fairly solid hit, so why not?

I think could add more themed chests, based on each game aspect, like a Titan based chest; possible rewards include items related to future Epic creation, Teleport and/or Titan Doubler potions, recipes. PvP based that gives Arena token stash, Ladder stash, potions, recipes etc. Composing based where it gives a substantial gold drop (like 1,000,000 or however voted on) various large Frag quantities, etc. Leveling based chest that gives smaller quantities of FSP (like 1-10 for example), various mid-tier to high-tier single leveling buff potions (like an Adept Learner 650 pot, or Conserve 800 as suggested)

Could bring the gods into it, assign one to each of the 4

#1008721 Titan Design but wait there's MORE

Posted by asterxemil on 09 December 2022 - 04:50

Hi, my name is Aster, and I'm addicted to- wait a second this is the wrong place for that... ANYWAY... I'm here today to present a further look into my idea for the Titan Design Contest, which did NOT end up getting placed, however, I WOULD like to gain community opinion/support for the idea I had to go along with said Titan.

I came up with this idea: Ilyxanda, the Living Cauldron. A foul living jar that roams the Realms Betwixt in search of the Eldritch Ring, fighting any and all that dare cross his path, to become the truest Champion of All. My first thoughts were to create a Titan capable of giving a drop I dubbed The Living Cauldron that allows for players to invent one of a list of Epic potions, but I thought "Why stop there?" And after getting feedback from other players, and ideas to go along with it, I feel the better option would be to do something akin to the PvP based Chests you can create. Here are a few examples of what I had in mind:

Recipe: Ogalith's Box of Burning Brews

1x Living Cauldron
1x Ogalith's Fiery Grasp
(insert other resources here)

Makes a chest of potions that allow you to have... let's say 5x Titan Doubler 350 pots (Distilled puts it at 403) That's 10x Kills per Titan, allowing faster clears, or more competitive clears on newer/high value Titans

Or this one:
Recipe: Skaldir's Stash of Slushed Stout

1x Living Cauldron
1x Skaldir's Frostbitten Steps

Makes a chest of potions that allow to have... let's say 5x Immobilise Titan 200 pots

(Reminder that these ideas in and of themselves aren't 100% hashed out, but you get the general idea.)

One way this helps Titan Hunting is to keep these Titans active and not let them sit for a week, or a few weeks, as (let's face it) people just aren't willing to resort to normal TKP hunting on the regular anymore. If we pop in a fresh take like this, it makes the Titan Epics more valuable (as in highly sought) as they will diminish to keep up with potion/chest supply. Along with future rebalancing to provide upgraded Epics, this will reduce the large quantities of Epics down to a more feasible level, they keep their Epic status, and yes they WILL increase in value, however, that means they stay at a pace equal to or similarly to the Event/Holiday Titans, even if the item itself is worth less overall in terms of equipped stats (stamina stam gain etc)

Another way this helps keep Titans active is being able to get buff/buff levels not available anywhere else, or buffs more attuned to hunting Titans. This allows new skills to be added in that aren't particularly suited for PvP/GvG or upgrade skills to a level that makes them more viable for regular use.

Imagine with me, if you will, the ability to use just Epics to hunt down most Titans around your level and lower, perhaps ones slightly higher that just spawn in your level's max realm level, as you get a Chest that contains potions that give you Invigorate 2500. That's 25% increase to all of your stats (28.75% Distilled with Zombie Brew) PER PIECE EQUIPPED. That's almost 260% increased stats for wearing Epics! A truly Epic potion!

I'd appreciate any and all thoughts, criticism, reworks, and whatnot to this you, as the Community might have. (Also if the devs decide to chime in, they have my concept down in the actual Titan Design Contest thread)

#1008284 Titan Design Contest 2022

Posted by asterxemil on 08 September 2022 - 18:11

Name: Ilyxanda, the Living Cauldron
Classification: Magical
Lore: This foul jar, in search of the Eldritch Ring, comes from the Realms Betwixt to fight the strongest opponents in this land. Swift defeat and death follows those who stray across his path. Those unfortunate to have lost now become one with Ilyxanda as he comsumes the viscera of fallen foes. Who can extinguish his blaze of ambition?
Physical Description: A towering decorative jar made of golden sturdy stone used for alchemical rituals, brought to life and sustained by a living pool of corpses and viscera within his body.

(My entry is based off of a certain newer game and I felt the one thing we haven't had or seen in a Titan is a Potion-based reward set. My idea was to have this Titan at level 713, and the drop is an Epic tier Living Cauldron potion bottle/resource that could be used to create Epic potions or chests of potions similar to the Ladder chest potions. Ideas were tossed around to include recipes for Teleport 190 potions, Immobilise Titan, new buff ideas for secondary Conserve proc similar to Lady Luck, Invigorate, etc. I feel as though this depletable Titan Epic drop would allow the economy to be more active, Titan Hunting more active, and a way to have a multitude of rewards from the same Titan.)

#1008246 Titan Competition (Near Future No ETA)

Posted by asterxemil on 05 September 2022 - 04:18

Hello Fellow FSers. As we've seen, for the month of August, there's a "titan competition" for the roadmap. Here's some ideas on how I believe this competition could be handled to maximize participation and ensure a level playing field:

The competition can be one of two styles, either of which would be more ideal than the traditional Global Events:

  1. All current titans killed would count, each kill equals points. For example: Kantec titan is roughly 4k kills to clear it so each kill is a point, so its a total of 4k points up for grab.

  1. The competition should be titan based HP which would measure any titan kill and kills with titan doubler should count correctly.

  • As a cherry on top, quest titans would count as well.

This method would encourage players to hunt from day 1 to the last day of the competition. This would also force players to clean (finish off) any remaining titans that are active. Overall, this competition would also benefit for the next upcoming roadmap update "New Epic Recipes."

It's a Design Contest for people to create a Titan, not like a killing contest lolpost-100602-0-68467500-1653658358_thumb.

#1008179 Game Update v3.9 / App Update v1.2

I'd also like to point out that in the current GE, there's 2 kinds of enemies, one worth 1 kill, the other worth 5 kills, and if you kill the one worth 5 it only contributes 1 towards the Achievement. Imagine if someone used a GB only killing these to get the max reward (10k) that's 2000 of the 5x and if they used the composed pot, 700 let's say, they contribute 143 kills towards that 100,000,000.

Me personally, I didn't use GB pots, and killed enough for just over 15000 contribution and only got 7005 contribution towards it. From what I gather, the lower levelled players simply don't want to engage in the event, but save stam for leveling themselves. At the rate we're going, we'll have maybe 30k-40k contribution across our entire guild for this event. Going rate roughly if we had an event every month like this it'd take us 208 years lmao
