Why should a facet of the game be more dependent upon your hardware and your internet connection than your actual skill level ?.

 

I'm all in favour of letting SKILL be a determining factor in every facet of the game - that's why players specialise, after all, but all facets of the game should be equally playable by all players. If that means putting some sort of "brakes" on movement speed / kill rates in titan hunting, then so be it.

 

But, like I said, I'd MUCH rather the cows got far more involved with finding out the cheating going on and removing them - then the "detection methods" can be removed (for the most part), only to be brought out "randomly" by them to sweep for further cheating.

 

Is this pipe dreams however ? - I suspect so

There are restrictions in place to stop these so called *magic hunters* end of story there's nothing to argue there. Whoever is still considered a *magic hunter* is doing so legitimately. Will anyone ever live this down  what else do you want? Just gonna point this out also a "script" wont make you move faster it will just move you to the titan at your normal speed. So please take a seat if you don't know what your talking about your just embarrassing yourself.

 

I played other game years ago with friends, then we join to play fallensword together with other friends and one friend he was very good programmer, he using scripts for titan hunting, arena, gvg and other things and he never caught by HCS for using cheating

 

players reported him but nothing happen to him, he not playing anymore, he now playing other games with me and his fallensword account last time login saying inactive, NOT terminated

 

HCS did very good and brave job when finally remove multi accounts and ban some scripts from titan hunting but they leaving FSH

 

my friend who not playing anymore has bad internet and old computer but with script he was like THE FLASH

we play online games and he has high ping and many games he can not play normal because of his computer/internet

 

when he was cheating with titan hunting he joking say to us: GOD MODE on

he not using cheating script for composing because we had not composing at that time

he only had 28 AH slots but many items in mailbox, he had script for taking items from his mailbox then putting 28 in AH for every hour

he using script for gvg, I asking you playing other online game with us later after you finish gvg and he say: GOD MODE on

after we finish other game we come back to fallensword and he finished gvgs, he was the whole time with us playing other game

 

you talking about restrictions but they not working, everyone I know got message: movement too fast, friend from asia has 1mbit/s internet and he get message: movement too fast when he titan hunting

I titan hunting and I am not using FSH or other script but I get message: script detected, many many times and friends saying same thing about this message

If he can beat the magic,
1. He has not challenged a real magic hunter, he just thinks he did

Are these restrictions working properly? Speculations will remain until we have true transparency in titan-hunting, and until then, the story continues.

 

There are a lot of ways to circumvent these restrictions. One example I can give is the possibility of accounts being given temporary admin privileges, but that's too absurd, so who knows ? Therefore the only way to know for sure and to lay these 'magic hunter' rumors to rest is to keep things transparent. After all, what have you got to lose if you're playing by the rules ?

 

Here are the things we want to promote transparency:

 

1) display player icons with name and guild info on titan-visible maps

2) display the # of kills done by a player on the titan he's currently sitting on. this resets to zero if the titan teleports to another square.

3) confirmation directly from HCS on walk speed value (e.g. 1 move per 200 msec)

4) confirmation directly from HCS on attack speed value (e.g. 1 attack per 2 sec).

 

#3 is needed to check whether a player exceeds the number of possible moves on a given timeframe.

#2 and #4 is needed to check whether a player exceeds the number of possible attacks that can be made on a titan before it teleports to another square.

 

 

Prove us wrong by supporting and lobbying for the above changes .

I knew my friend before playing fallensword, players reported him but nothing happened to him, he is not playing anymore and can not do any harm anymore

difference between us is that I kept my mouth shut for my friend I know years before coming to fallensword who cheated but you keep defending these cheaters

you are right, I am not better than a cheater for not reporting him but you are worse

my excuse for not reporting him is because he is very good many long years friend (this is my personal excuse)

if my friend got baned for cheating then he deserve it, he is my friend but he knew what he was doing and the risk

however use of third party software and scripts overall unless reviewed by hcs are against the game rules basically the script allows you to do one click and the computer will do the rest for you

 

and scripters do have one advantage : the reaction speed for titan moves is faster due to the fact that it can read where the titan is at and will do the next attack spot on the 2 second limit where a normal human has some sort of differ 

 

 

so you kinda embarrassed yourself

 

so no matter what speed the script will do the job faster than what a human would do.

 

 

i just hope that one day i'll be able to move 3.7 squares a second instead of my usual ~2.4 squares a second

1st want to say it is nice to see the numbers in the poll and that a decent amount of people would titan hunt more often if it was a more reasonable time frame. I would like to possibly get a Cows thoughts on the original topic and hope it could be 1 of the upcoming pots for Christmas

-Configuring your browser to run as smoothly as possible (or strip it down) set up your pipelines and all that crap

-Connection speed (though this is not as big a deal as many make it)

-Hardware either a good computer or using special equipment (game pads or special mouse) (I bought a G700 mouse for titan hunting so that I only could use all the buttons I needed in 2 hands keyboard for moving and mouse for refreshing and killing. When I am lazy clicking to move as well so all in 1 hand)

-FS has a lot of preferences that will slow you down as well if you do not turn them off especially the world chat...or FS helper

-Someone told me it is also possible to get rid of background images to speed you up, because less images to load (Though I do not know how to do this)

 

There are a few tips to improve your speed while hunting I am sure these "Magic Hunters" know more since I know I am nowhere near the fastest person anymore but I also no longer have my computer set up strictly for titan hunting since I do not have the time required to hunt...

Why would i lobby for something without direct benefit for myself? isn't that the only point to lobbying. Time is money i don't have much of it. If you want to go for it its all yours man.

I don't think anyone would have a problem with anything on your list. You truly have not seen magic evidently... It's really amazing. Take the Krumpers map... How does a guy get from 1 corner to the other in 2 secs? MAGIC! It's a sight to see. When 4+ players are covering the corners of a large map and every single one of them is losing to this guy, it's a tad frustrating. At the very least, it would be cool to see them running along side you but somehow they jump right over you. Uncanny. One day, you may believe in magic, I guess you haven't seen them yet.

Scripting is PROVEN in the AH and strongly suspected elsewhere. If they know it's happening, FIX IT so that it can't, or that it's made much more difficult at least...

well they aren't magic they are flawless and move at the maximum allowed speed of ~ 3.7 squares a second ^^ us commoners take me for example move at ~ 2.4 squares a second maybe more maybe less.

 

 

now then as i stated before titan hunting wether it's a group effort or not takes a long time.

 

i've already suggested that attacking a titan should take 2 stamina and that a % of the titan HP and TKP needed to buy an item are reduced

 

-this way current TKP won't lose value and actually gain value ( these are also reduced by the same % )

-it speeds up titan hunting a bit

-epics will not drop in value due to the upped stamina use ( more stamina used --> less possible secures --> so not a huge flooding of the market not like it would really get flooded since the titan spawns are limited to the amount hcs wishes)

-cleanups will be faster to complete and one will be able to see his TKP earned epic faster.

Be careful what you say, false accusations and reports can lead to account termination or temporary bans.
