After the recent update, level 16 Wild Shigra and Thorned Basilisk dropping Haunch and Tough Hide, Level 28 Bullosaurs dropping Shank and Hard Hide, Level 13 Brown Deer dropping Tough Hide and Ribs.. Level 6 Shigra Level 8 Northam Pigs and Level 8 Grassland Wolf in Northam dropping Sturdy Hide and Rump .. level 2 Pigs dropping Soft Meat and Tattered Hide
Have no idea where to find Hams anymore... if this was intentional with due respect I think it's a huge mistake.

That and the lack of interaction with other players. I'm kind of a shy person so I don't talk much in-game, but when I tried to talk with people I was either ignored and made fun of for being low level/asking "dumb" questions which stinks cause a few bad apples turned me off to trying to interact with people.
I have been playing 2 yrs now and have seen the bad apples slowly but surely replaced by good apples... the community has become a much kinder and more helpful group. Can't really say what brought this about but I sure welcome the change.

It would be nice to be able to designate an automatic response to those who whisper you while u are afk. For example...
"I am afk but will be back at approx 1200 GMT"
I for one would be willing to spend gold/eps to use this feature on a per use basis or subscription basis.

Well it's over shadowed by other free to play mmorpgs.... You have so many to pick from now..I know graphics are not everything to a game, but it would turn a lot of people away.
Graphics taste is totally subjective ... if graphics are so important, why does Runescape have so many players? For my taste, Eldevin is clearly superior in every way to that one, except perhaps in releasing new content. And new does not always imply good or better anyway.
Can not debate the fact of so many ftp mmorpg's to choose from. But imo Eldevin is one of the best of kind. Eldevin has an especially good social aspect imo. Great community. Developers could do themselves a favor by being more responsive.

Something I don't understand about all this.... the devs apparently have enough confidence in their creative abilities to embark on a new game.... seems they are willing to take a chance (and it is a bit like winning the lottery) on a new game. Wouldn't it make more sense to try to leverage the sizable investment they have made in Eldevin by applying their creativity to fix Eldevin so that it has broader appeal and better player retention??
I gotta believe that developing Eldevin has cost them $1 Million or more.. that's a lot of capital to kick to the curb. If they think the name Eldevin has been poisoned.. just call it Eldevin II .. lol ... I dunno .. i agree with Ernzor and SirPeter.. i will continue to support the game financially until it totally bores me.

So why isn't this thread posted on the Steam forums for the game? Seems kinda shady, as if HCS doesn't want the Steam community to know that development has slowed down.
I just started this game a couple of weeks ago, and I am level 14, so there is plenty to keep me playing, but I do find it extremely disappointing that this game is taking the turn a lot of Steam games do.
I wish the staff at HCS the best of luck, and definitely look forward to future communication and updates.
This thread contains concerned player response to a somewhat vague development update from HCS. As u state, there is plenty to keep one playing. Much of player response in this thread is speculation and sadness. Why predict the death of the game by spreading negatives?
It's amazing to me how players can be so demanding about a free-to-play game. It doesn't take rocket science to realize that game developers are people and need a payday. The good thing about free to play is that u can quit when the game ceases to be fun for you with nothing lost except time which must have been fun enough to keep you playing to begin with.
That said, to put this thread into further perspective, much of it comes from players who have been supporters and have paid to play. They have legitimate gripes about the manner in which HCS has responded to the community.
Though HCS has been slow to respond, I am hopeful that they revisit their process with regard to Eldevin and make changes necessary to bring the game more in line with their needs and expectations. It's too early to say the game is dead.. there is just too much good in it to condemn it to the trash bin.
