Okay I was experimenting and I wanted to know how I can make this more original.I think what I did is called text slapping

 

I Darkened the image

Enhanced the Color

Gave it a border and alot of other things that make it a bit darker,etc.

 

I use Gimp and something called Photoscape

 

 

How can I make this more original like how can I give it a new background and stuff like that

 

If this the wrong area to post this then let me know but I attached the avi onto this post hopefully you all can see it...Thanks in advance for help.

I take it you found the image on Google to start with, this is what we would call a stock, what you would need to do to add a new background is cut out the image you want to use, called rendering, and then place a new layer background behind the render, there are many tutorials on you tube for gimp, but I know that Zeder uses photo scape as well so he might be able to give you more tips, have a read of some of the stickied threads, yes technically what you have done so far would be considered a text slap, but the fact you are willing to learn not too goes a long way.

Hey! 

Yeah i can see you are pretty new at this.

I use photoshop so i really dont know how do you do it on those programs but for start i could recomend you to just take a render from google images and start with the simplest.

For example: Take the render and smudge it for the background and than just add it on the place u want it. 

After that add text, put it close to render so it looks better. Change the text so it fits the render and take the colours for text from ur alredy made avi. 

I am not really good but i think the simplest way is to start with smudging things. 

Get some C4D packs and experiment with them... (Change layer modes, etc)

 

And also: GET SOME TUTORIALS FROM YOUTUBE AND GOOGLE.

I don't think its that noticable but its a new one blended also into the old one and 2 duplicate layers of the new backgrond

Getting there, another thing you could do is flip the orginal image so it looks different, and change the colour gradient, mess about with some of the effects in gimp, trial and error until you get something you like the look of.

Apply the whole picture u got than marriage it with the text and set a border on it 1px

But dont u like to make anything more colourful? Like pick some game character renders and stuff like that?

Yeah I would like more color but not sure how to show it in this currently

 

 

Game Character Renders might be good,I'll come back to this topic tomorrow with 1 with game characters...I might do one with Spiderman or Batman as I like there Movies not to fund of the comic books.

 

 

I think the one I just did looks alright but it could be way better I believe

I am currently using gimp to make my renders ( not quite comfortable using it for layers & such) & I am using PhotoScape for everything else.

With a bit of planning you can use Photoscape to layer many parts of your graphic.
