I am on levels 1010+ and there are levels with no creature drops. There should be some.

 

The drops are already rare at higher levels, and for even those we need FI and several buffs. Last two hunts, I hardly got 50 odd drops.

There is a long stretch where critters drop very little outside quest related items.... this stops around 1600, but even then most critters, up to and including Elites, only drop actual items every few levels.... There are even droughts of quests that last for 50 levels or more in places further down the line.  idk whether this was an intentional oversight or if at one point there were plans to go back and add these in at a later time...  But like having an end point for Present Darkness, one can only hold their breath and hope, or shake their head and move forward...

So basically they went lazy between levels 900 and 1600. Or crazy with 900 to 1000, and then lazy? 

 

Shouldn't they be reviewing the older content as well?

That's an excellent question. Maybe a cow god can clarify the reasoning for this....

I’m old but I seem to remember something about higher lvl players would pay lower lvl players to hunt frags for them. This would give lower lvls a way to make money and higher lvls would get frags. I ju see t can’t remember who said it.

It was yotwehc that told me.... not sure if it was his idea or if he was passing on the information.... I did learn a lot of things from him though.....
He's gone from FS, now, but I haven't forgotten him

That's not really a bad logic. However, there should be some drops (even if at a miserable drop rate) at all levels, not zero. There aren't as many chests available either. Those actively into composing do pay others for frags and gear that could be broken down.

As one directly affected by the lack of drops, it's still not hard to get them. You just have to compromise. You can hunt thru levels where there is only 1 common drop per 25 levels to get a few (and, with a big doubler on, it IS a few) or you can find your nearest level with common (or whatever you need) drops via the UFSG and farm them yourself.
