Yes. I do clean installs whenever possible. I didn't have any issues with Java at all until after I played this the first time...
Interestingly though, I just tried again, and I got in fine...

Freezes the same... I'm trying reinstalling Java now.
[EDIT] No change; still freezes at the same spot.

I'm still getting a freeze before even getting in game... No error since the game doesn't even load. I have already cleared my Java cache to no effect. I even cleaned up my browser since it looked like it was having issues before Java even started, but that too affected nothing.
I'm running this in Firefox 21 on Windows 7 Ultimate, and using the latest 32-bit and 64-bit Java.

My issue is that it doesn't even get to the loading bar, and it takes 30 seconds to respond to each click.
