Hello everyone,

I am a completely new player to the game even though my account was created a year ago. I have been playing web-based MMO for quite a while now including Ikariam, 1100ad, Travian, Torn City, etc. However, FallenSword is the only game I play at the moment. I think the game is extremely addictive, and has great potential to attract thousands more players.

The feature I would love to see in the game is something called "DISPLAY CABINET". The idea is simple. Display cabinet is a showroom for players to show off their hard-earned legendary items to others. The Display cabinet feature can be purchased by FSP. Players can customize their cabinet by item sets, armor, helmet, etc.

This feature is available in many other web-based games that I played.

That's all. Tell me what you think! Thank you very much!!

Peace.

Whilst the idea in principle is good, it falls flat because there are VERY few items in-game actually worthy of being "shown off"

New items, for the most part, are introduced and, within a matter of hours, are devalued almost to the point of zero value.

Of course, there are some items that buck this trend, but very few.

The cows COULD change this, if they so chose to, by making new items inventable, using items of a very finite supply, or items that merely trickle into the game, but so far (despite receiving good feed back from them about that idea), it has yet to happen.

Eddie Izzard : The National Rifle Association say that guns don't kill people, people do. But I think the gun helps, you know ? I think it helps. I think just standing there going "BANG" - that's not going to kill too many people, is it ?

I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but it seems that everything I eat lately turns to poo ...

Oh I see. Thank you for your information. Hunter Cow could also implement some sets of collectible items like medals, gems, trophies, vintage, toys??, etc. Some things that keep everyone on the hunt!! That would be awesome!

What Pardoux said... I do think the idea is interesting.

Quite a few years ago people were bragging about having certain "special items".

I can't even remember really what any more, but the display cabinet could hold old pots, special items, whatever people want to put on display.

I get that some people think it's kind of silly, but there are collectors out there.

Seems like an interesting income source for HCS and might spark some AH action for players as well.

Thumbs up!

They could implement something like a "vanity" set, that allows players to "show" different gear when people visit their page.

I wouldn't mind showing the moostache helms again :)

(Yes I know I spelled mustache wrong)

I think this would be fun and perhaps another item could be added that was in a thread long ago having a pet in the area. I remember posting a pet dragon in an old thread idea suggestion lol.  The thread is way back in land of the lost but displaying a favorite medal, pet, some gear like the rings people give could add interest.   ;)

To many in the community that are hard core players may find it silly but the player posting this thread has mentioned other games are doing such displays so people can post on social media like facebook and twitter to name a couple their character in the those medias bio. It could be good advertising for game and might attract new players to our community.  B)

I found the thread for interesting read "PET

I think there are more similar threads somewhere but I got tired finding this one.  :P

Here's something that could be added to the vanity cupboard ...

The "Ultra Rose-Coloured Glasses" that a certain player sees the game thru - the game where nothing is wrong, everything is perfect LOL.

I still say having personal achievements that unlock modest upgrades (kill x of x type creature, kill x SE x times, kill x elites, kill x elites level 1000+, use x different teleport portals, take x different relics, kill x titan x times, etc) Have it like steam showcase, where you can choose which achievements you want to show off....it could work like this with your cabinet display. Like, with killing x creature/elite/titan could be a head of that creature or something, selecting certain achievements/trophy/toys/medals/etc to display give certain bonuses while being displayed.... it'd give another element to the gameplay with those bonuses attached to displayed items.

Something we've never added to the game that might be cool is the idea of titles that are unlocked by (reasonably) hard to get achievements. Thinking out loud, but an example could be "Slay X rats" and you can have the title "Hoofmaster the Ratslayer" or something along those lines :)

I think some kind of 'Pokedex' would awesome, a list of all the creatures in game you've killed, players would have something to do with stamina overflowing sometimes.

And that could create a lot of achievements like "Kill X different monsters" and "Complete your MonsterDex" or something.

One of the 'title' achievements could be to have kill every creature type within a level range :)

Would be a fun and interesting thing to add - you can create some fun and difficult titles where we know that many EoC playesr would probably spend that excess stam in getting.

Pet is a great idea! Leveling and gearing up for the pets, as well as pet arena. OMG, so many possibilities!

The title system is also awesome. For example, there are plenty of silly titles (but make the game more fun) in Runescape. These are the things that motivate "perfectionists" to play the game more ->> I know I am one of them ^.^
