xxx, when I used to make throwaway potions, but it's been over a year since I had to make those.

Fortunately for my sanity I don't have to make them anymore but when I did they were "20XP" "30XP" and "40XP Temporary" the latter being for double composing XP events only.

Sorry for the ignorance, but what exactly is "throw-away" composing potions? Is it something to get to higher level composing?

Throw away?  What is this throw away of which you speak?  I don't think I've ever thrown away a potion, knowingly that is.  The way I look at it, even starting out at level one, some of the potions are still better then what you could get when I joined, lo, these many years ago!  So I keep plodding along, currently at level 9 and a half.  But I'm in no rush to run to EOC

Read the composing wiki. But the fastest and cheapest way to high level composing glory is to make throw away potions. Lvl 40 and lvl 20 for 60 minute duration will get you 20 xp and costs only 5k gold and an hour to make. Only uses 6 common frags. I did it from level 1>40 ish.

I'm not really in the habit of throwing potions away, it's why I'm not high level yet. :/     lol

All of them are 10xp, 20xp, 30xp, etc. 

 

Mostly the cheaper way to go - 20xp potions all the time.
