[Gruvi]

These are some stories of sea and I and our journeys... Feel free to suggest new adventures and ideas, we have quite a few in line, but could always use more!!!!

:: At the home of the Squirrels, Gruvi walked into the main room; Grumbling quietly, Gruvi was visably a little upset... ::

"Blah.. Is it too much to ask for a bonded that stays active?"

:: She tossed her shoes off against the wall and slumped into a chair... pacmansb tried to sympathize with her.... ::

"'To solve that problem i bonded to my self and hog all the points.."

:: Gruvi smiled softly; while it's a good idea, she longs for something else... She explained her past issues briefly... ::

"I've had two bondeds; both for almost 2 years each; and both went inactive after like 6 months.... "

:: pacmansb shook his head and muttered back... ::

"Bummer, bastards..."

:: Over in the bushes, seasack was quietly listening to her and pac talk... Upon hearing the opportunity to bond with Gruvi, sea revealed himself from behind the bushes and chimed in... ::

"My bonded is inactive too. If you are daring enough to unbond, I would like to be your bonded.... We are cultmates and I promise you , I'm active... I would like to be your bonded mate if you'll have me... And if you are interested, I'll tell you more good reasons for us to get hitched."

:: Gruvi looked at him; she was very surprised, and also very flattered that he would be interested... She smiled at him... ::

"Awww sea; are you sure? Its not about being daring; its about remembering where to go to do it..."

:: seasack jumped up and walked over to Gruvi; he smiled at her; she had absolutly no idea that he'd wanted to bond with her for some time now... He took her hand and pulled her up to her feet...::

"Hell yeah I'm sure."

:: He sliped a promise ring over an eggroll and handed it to her; she took the eggroll and removed the ring... She slid the ring onto her finger and ate the eggroll... She leaned into him and whispered into his ear... ::

"I'd love to be your bonded..."

:: The realms seemed to swirl around them as the two made their way to the Divorce Temple and undid the previous bondings; then headed straight to the Bonding Temple... Gruvi approached first and wrote his name... He came up behind her and wrote hers.... The others there paid no attention to what was going on... They were busy with bondings of their own most likely... And it was done, the two had formed a bond that promised to be much more interesting than either had experienced in the past... There was a plentiful supply of egg rolls at the ceremony, even though no one was invited to eat them... And the happy couple stole the cult Duaphant to take a victory ride around the CS.... ::

it was a dark and stormy.....no....i dont exactly remember what the weather was like outside.....it doesnt matter,for this is a story of how i was nearly slain , then ultimately saved , by lurve........

I was deep in braskin plains hunting the squig.I had been hunting for eight hours and i knew it was time to get out , but something was keeping me there.....

As i continued to kill these pathetic creatures , i noticed them getting more numerous.I thought to myself,'i have plenty of drops now , i should just go home', but i didnt go home.....there was something that was familiar in there....something i wanted to find.....

Then I caught the scent .......it was her....she was there somewhere.....
I ran headlong into the squigglets that guarded the path until i could see nothing , only determined to reach the place i was certain she was......

(it was literally like this , people)
anyway , i woke to her whispering in my ear......'for what its worth dear , you almost found me'.....
i was confused , of course....and curious as to where i was , of course...
then i looked up at the roadsign <92.8 Braskin Plain Boulevard>

'ah ... i thought the squigs had me for sure .....'
she replied 'you were walking about 8 clicks downwind , and while i was setting up camp , i noticed you swimming in squigs down there,,lol'
she continued ' and knowing you probably would get yourself killed before you could find me , i came to get you , you silly brute' *pimpslap*

:: so my bonded led me by my nose....sigh....damned cloaking elvses ::

[Gruvi]

:: The night was cold in Teridia; Gruvi was wandering about looking for the elusive elven creature that was rumored to live there... Growing tired, she sat down to rest... Back at home, sea was a little worried that she hadn't returned and went out in search of her.. He went into Teridia and walked around a little... He stopped abruptly mid stride; he could sense that she was near... He called out to her... Gruvi's ears perked up and she smiled... He was so close, he was always so good at finding her, even before they were together... She'd never given it much thought before, but it was like they were in tune with each other on a different level... She called out to him and he came to her side... They sat cuddling, gazing at the beautiful stars in Teridia for hours.. Before they realized it, the night had nearly gone... He turned to her.. ::

"Do you want to camp out in Teridia, or go back home?"

:: She smiled at him and kissed his cheek softly.. ::

"I kinda like the peace and quiet and seclusion for a few hours whilest we rest..."

:: He turned in and kissed her back.. ::

"I like the stars, they are like your starry eyes."

:: She punched him in the arm and laughed... The night beneath the stars wasn't quite as cold anymore as the two slept side by side... ::

i am not an infernal....i am something more animal....i travel low to the ground through the ice and snow..... i am hunting for what reason i do not know....i only know i am killing other creatures much like myself..

i stop in my tracks....there is a higher being in the clearing......with long attractive ears ..surely i have been clumsy enough to be heard by them...

after a time i sense that it has not noticed me , so i creep closer....*sniff sniff*...it is a female of its species....i am no match for this entity , as mesmerizing as it is....i must get away undiscovered

i ran as fast as i could back to my pit , back to safety....back to share this discovery....with who , or what?....what am i ?


then it is suddenly crystal clear.I am a basilisk , and my duty is indeed to share this discovery with the one who summoned me....

*wake up in a cold sweat*

'master , she waits there for you.........'

indeed , she does.....

[Gruvi]

:: She sat at the edge of a fountain outside the magnificent dome... The colors shimmered in the reflection off the water... Her feet were in the water, swirling at a gentle playful pace... He would be here any moment to meet her, and she couldn't wait.... Today was a very special day, it was a significant marker in their time spent together... Gruvi giggled as she thought to herself how great it was to have sea around and how fantastic he made everything seem... She looked up from the water and he was standing there... She lifted the package she brought here for him and handed it to him... ::

"Happy anniversary..."

:: He opened the package and it was obvious he liked the contents... He was completely speechless, but he didn't have to say anything... She leaned in and kissed him... ::

"Thank you for being willing to be my bonded, and for making this a wonderful place to be... For making me want to be here, every single day..."

:: sea looked at Gruvi and laughed... ::

"Willing? You are the one I wanted! I wasnt just willing, it was the only way!"

:: She smiled and turned a light shade of pink... He pulled out a small box and handed it to her.... In the box was a beautiful pearl necklace.... ::

"Oh hun, thank you!!!!'

::She threw her arms around him and covered him in little kisses.... The two sat at the fountain for most of the day, celebrating the tiny little feat they'd accomplished... ::

i was sitting , as i often do , at the peak of betrayer....waiting for some angel to bring me peanuts and beer.i sent some smoke signals to my love down at squirrel manor , telling her i was camping at the peak and would she like to join me , and perhaps bring peanuts and beer.Lo and behold , shortly thereafter the peanuts and beer appeared on the ground by the fire , but my love was nowhere to be found. i called out to her , and she answered;'not that i can see you , but i am here' ::giggles::

i looked at where she should be , and im sure she looked at where i was supposed to be , and we both realized that here on the Peak of Betrayer,you are only allowed to have blind dates....go figure.....
she said ' should we find another realm?'. i replied'yes , lets get the french maid costume out of here'. i suggested that we rent the penthouse in the bandit pit and make sweet lurve , but then i had a better idea....'meet me in the spore field , the sunsets there are beautiful '

so of course before i told her i had gone in there and set up camp at the zoo; yes , would you believe the spore field has a zoo?anyway i had sushi and wine and a fire going and all the inventory items that make for a cozy date with your bonded dropped at the location. She then sauntered in and placed a great big wet sloppy kiss right on my mouth.....ok i made that part up.......she came to the zoo and gave me a little not so sloppy kiss right on the mouth....ok it wasnt on my mouth, it was my cheek.....well...... lets just say she came to the zoo.......

the spore field zoo is not known for its animal population (dont bother asking for more zoo content , iago is busy ), so we had to bring our own animals too
we camped and ate and sang songs and talked....and though the rest of the time at the zoo was kind of a blur for me , i do remember before we fell asleep , she placed a big wet sloppy kiss right on my mouth , and this time it was real


but i cant help but feel like theres more to this story than i remember..............

:: The night at the zoo was a blast, but it seemed to be lacking some sort of pizazz... There was so much more fun to be had outside of the ordinary date night sea and Gruvi had been having lately... Gruvi reached into her pocket and pulled out two vials... She smiled deviously at sea... ::

"Want to have some fun?"

:: sea looked at the vials in her hand, looked to her, back to the vials, and laughed... ::

"Is that what I think it is?"

:: Gruvi giggled and nodded her head... ::

"It will only last a little bit... C'mon!!!"

:: sea reached out and took one of the vials from her hand; together they twisted the tops and drank the contents... Within moments the two had transformed into beautiful purple dragons... Gruvi sat back on her hind legs and let a stream of fire escape from her mouth.... sea raised an eyebrow... ::

"I can do better..."

:: With that, he opened his mouth and let out a gigantic stream of fire... The tree to their right lit up the night sky for a moment as he accident caught it on fire... ::

"Oh crap! Oh well... hahaha"

:: Gruvi laughed and swatted him with her tail before taking off at a small trot... sea yelled after her... ::

"Hey!"

:: He took off after her and jumped on her; the two tumbled to the ground in a giant heap... sea pinned her down and tickled her underbelly before taking off on his own little trot... She stood and ran after him... The realm was a blur as the two played chase, drunk from the vial... sea pulled the rare trader into the game of tag, chasing after him to buy random objects... They stopped for a moment to catch their breath, realizing the effects of the vials would soon be wearing off... sea pulled out the camera and took a picture... Gruvi tried to get the camera from him... ::

"Let me see!"

:: sea tucked the camera away... ::

"No! I'm drunk and the picture is probably blurry!!!"

:: She laughed at him... The two made their way back to the zoo to finish their night out with a good sleep... Gruvi curled up to sea and fell asleep in no time aside the fire... ::

i was randomly bloodsucking and causing general havoc in the gothador realm one chilly, late February night.Travelling SE ,over the din of the rats and roaches and such , i began to hear the sounds of classic rock.Suddenly , as it is sudden in all my stories , there was a tap on my shoulder.It was you-know-who , and she said ' may i have this dance?'.

I grabbed her and began twirling and twirling until we were both dizzy , coming to rest at the darden exchange
it was in this place that we held each other close , swaying to the sounds of the classic rock that i had heard before , exchanging not gold and platinum , but smokey stares and tender kisses , and sweet nothings whispered into infernal and elven ears.

When the music was over , i looked into Gruvi's eyes and i thanked her for the dance.She kissed me on the cheek and suggested that i listen to the music around me more often........i can say for sure now that i will be tuning into her every day 8)

[Gruvi]

:: Cool winds filled the air in Mortis Dramoris as Gruvi hunted Soul Lords vigorously... She paused and decided to find sea... He was tinkering with something at the base of the tree... She walked up behind him and leaned in to whisper in his ear... ::

"Hey there hot stuff, come here often?"

:: sea didn't miss a beat, nor did he stop tinkering... ::

" Why you wanna know, you writing a book?"

:: Gruvi laughed and sat down next to him.. She watched him tinker for a moment before leaning in to kiss his cheek... ::

"I'm headed out hunting, want to come along to make sure they don't beat me up too badly?"

:: He looked to her and his eyes lit up a little... ::

"I'd love to!"

:: Together they travelled back to Mortis Dramoris and took out wave after wave of Soul Lords... Finally, Gruvi collapsed from exhaustion in sea's arms... She looked at him.. ::

"I can't do anymore..."

:: He laughed for a moment... ::

"Then don't..."

:: He took her in his arms and carried her to a spot to rest for the night.. The structure around them was made of bones; but it was done in such an artistic way that it was almost beautiful... sea set her down and started a fire; he returned to her side and sat down... He reached over and etched 'S+G' into the bones with a single Incendinite Claw... Gruvi giggled and curled up in his arms... The fire roared and crackled, but all else was silent as they rested along side each other... ::

we both had the night off and along with that , a chance to do a quest together .....now , being bonded to such a wonderful person such as Gruvi
is sooooo much fun, i often forget that we can dress up and be classy uppity intellectual types too
so we met at the opera , or the museum , or whatever the hell this place was , grabbed a couple beers , poured them into champagne glasses and mingled to see what this was all about.....gruvi reminded me to sip with pinkie extended , as i whipped out my monacle to view the objects de art.....

arm in arm we proceded along the path , pushing the buttons and talking the talk , till we had both learned the ways of intellectuality and got our degrees from the wizard of OZ.....

anyway , as is customary in our bonded bliss , we celebrated by camping out at the site of our latest adventure
we held each other by the fire for awhile , then i turned to her and intellectually bit her ear....shortly after that , we both learned something that wasnt in the quest ..... :twisted:

[Gruvi]

:: He sprinkled the ground around where he stood with small gifts; the air was warm, the sand at a minimal swirl... He concentrated and told her to come to the desert - they would pick berries together... It had been some time since their last escapade, and it sounded wonderful... She finished her chores at the tree and set off in search of him... Northwest corner of the vast desert is where he was... She reached him as quickly as she could, her mind clouded with all the things she should be working on this evening... As she reached him, her thoughts instantly changed to a realization that there was a lack of berries where he was... She looked around, noticing the gifts scatered about first... Curious, she asked him about it... ::

"Did you cover the ground?"

"Yes."

:: His answer was almost mischievous... She giggled softly; generally his gifts would be just where they were, and not all around... She continued to scan the area.. In the same moment that she realized they were not alone, he took her hand in his... Her eyes darted from the preacher standing near them to him... ::

"'Will you be my bonded all over again?"

:: He is tone was very serious, his eyes fixated on hers... He slid an Anti-Dark Ring onto her finger... ::

"And be my anti-darkness?"

:: Her eyes teared up a bit, looking at him... They had come so far, and brought so much to each other over the past few months... ::

"Awwww; I'd do it a million times more if it meant I'd get to have you by my side every day."

:: She stepped into him and hugged him tightly... After a few moments she stepped back... ::

"It's a good thing I didn't kill the preacher when I realized he was there, ya know.. I almost did.. If you'd been a few seconds slower...."

:: Her voice trailed off into a giggle... He looked at the preacher over his shoulder and back to her... ::

"That would have been soo uncool... We can kill him now though.."

:: She smiled and shook her head.. ::

"Naw, he can stay.. It's alright..."

:: He quickly went to work, building a fire and laying out all the necessities for a night out in the desert together... As he finished, he sat back with a grunt... ::

"Looks like were camping out and partyin with the preacher!"

:: She laughed at his antics.. ::

"I am good with that..."

:: With that, she went and sat next to him to join him by the fire.. Another perfect day was nearing its end... ::

i was strolling through the desert on a quest the other day , when i happened upon Gruvi.....she was just sitting on top of a dune , staring out across the sand.i waited for a few minutes , wondering what to do.....should i say something? should i walk away? should i abduct her? heh heh...no i better not..
i did creep up behind her and whisper in her ear about the irony of us running into each other. she did not move , but i think as i ported away , her lip may have curled up into a smile......

and for one night , it seemed like old times..... 8)

:: No matter where she curled up to rest, nothing felt right; nothing could entice her to smile; nothing brought a desire to hunt anymore... There was a hue of gray that surrounded everything she touched, and the rain was never ending.. It melted the snow, it made grass grow in the sand, and it had her entire world turned upside down... Her moments passed by in slow motion as time swirled around her... His voice had brought her out of her daze for just a moment... When things came into focus, so much had seemingly changed; yet she couldn't draw any desire to react... She was numb.. She wanted to scream, but no sound escaped her lips... She wanted to cry, but her eyes released no tears... So she did the only thing she could; she walked a little more and found a new patch of ground on which to curl up... ::

i was high on the mountain,when a strange fog came over me.....when the fog lifted i was under the water,under the ice.surrounded by a cold blackness that seemed to cradle me in both desire and despair....i would not perish,and floated gently along the ice.i could see her in the light above,and would move with her.i tried to reach her,but she could not see or hear me.....i see her suffer,and cannot suffer with her....i see her flourish,and cannot flourish by her side....i can only move along underneath the ice,and hope to find the hole that i had fallen through....if such a portal even exists.
what kind of strange hell is this,cold and silent and dark watery plane?

.....i.....i awoke,still high on the mountain.

was it...is it......will it be a dream?

all the while the fog rolls in and out........

i was rolling through mortis dramoris doing a quest with my lil elf , when i saw the bone shrine and our initials carved in it...it got me thinking about bumping this thread , for one reason , its a pretty entertaining read , and for another , its a fond fond memory of a great part of this game(and of course , Gruvi )some of you other bonded folks should take a little time out to enjoy yourselves as we once did :idea:
