Mithril,

if prophets are to use shields (and is viable) then we need to have something 1h wise that does not kill healing. (I use a staff for this very reason.) And as you said, 1h weapons needing some sort of magic stats. Even a wand would be useful. (Hello, Harry Potter)

I don't have this issue here (re weapon swap) but "from other games" when you double clicked on 1h weapon in inventory it always went into your main hand. (Shields on the other hand, always went into the off-hand slot.) Anyway, if I had something in the main hand and then double clicked on weapon for EMPTY off-hand, it would just swap with the item in the main hand, and my off-hand is still EMPTY. DDO did a good job of this (esp. when durability was at/near 0), I think, as it made it easy to slot weapons into both hands. otherwise you need your inventory and character sheets open at same time to slot off-hand weapon.

for the issue above, for dual wielding players, weapon swap is nice.

In Topic: Class orientated drops

but there are no real classes except for where you put your talents. And if you take talents from 3 trees?

Here you can also skin mobs, that you don't really do in other MMOs to get meat and skin which could sell. Drops in dungeons should be more 'class' oriented however - did a few runs of the vault recently, and no drops were related were for prophets. *sigh*

DDO allowed for weapon swaps via hotbar. I could have, say, a sword and dagger in one slot, and axe and sword in another, and swap. That I dont mind.

But not totally in favor of full gear swap.... The healer as the mob to stop fighting so that he can change from heavy to light gear to do healing. Then stop again to switch from light to heavy.

Yes I am being sarcastic, and aware this is a game, but full gear swap to me, take away for the immersion a bit. If they could mxi up the stats a bit gear that would be nice. For example, melee stats on light gear, or magic stats on heavy gear.
