Why are folk getting so worked up about it ? I really don't think it's that big a deal, the chat mods don't have any authority anywhere other than the chat. Obviously they have been chosen by HCS who have their reasons and that's good enough for me.

As far as the cookie goes, I have the following to choose from:
forums.huntedcow.com - member_id - modtids - mqtids - pass_hash - rteStatus - session_id - toggleCatsI wonder about that "toggleCats" myself. I have never seen any kitties running around on the forum, and would like to play with them!

Note: Do not take this post seriously. I know there are not cats on the forum, and figure it is short for "categories", as in which ones on the main page to show/hide.
I'd be more worried about the fourth one down 
I'll refrain from making any cheeky remarks though
