Hi all,

I just wanted to share what I thought might be the best hunting buffs for the upcoming double xp. Feel free to offer suggestions or share your own!

 

Skill (Level):
Adept Learner (750)
Animal Magnetism (500)
Librarian (750)
Conserve (750)
Smashing Hammer (390 or higher)
Overkill (1000)
Wither (450)
Doubler (1500)
Sacrifice (500)
Reckoning (200)
Stalker (300)
PvP Prestige (10)
Teleport (only when moving)

Potion drinking order: Zombie Brew -> Pride (if applicable) -> Brewers Art -> all potions above.

Remove Brewing Master, Distill, and Pride buffs before attacking creatures!!!

Additional Tip: Make sure to note where the champions are since you can kill them for 2-4 levels.

 

Alternative to level 750 boxes:

Easter basket ( Exp enhancing buffs )

Cut ruby box ( offensive buffs)

the cave of reckoning

brewers art

darksun box  (Lightfoot and stalker buffs)

the flask of death

a zombie brew

pride composed potion.

 

for those who don't have 750 boxes

I was thinking about that, but feel as though SH would be enough. I have it written as an optional in my notepad.

If you're looking to burn stam and make some fsp too, ditch the sacrifice buff and go with Merchant(200) and Treasure Hunter(192).

Unfortunately, I’m going for max XP + the least amount of buffs to increase chance of doubling AL, LIB, Con, or stalker level. If I went for gold, I would have to use SSI which would make me waste more stamina.

Also, I forgot to add in UB 200

PvP prestige should be the full 10%.   you don't have to use all stored, and choosing part still gives the 10%, because time is the factor.  IMHO if you have not yet reached that threshold, you should forego using it till summer.    With the new DQ's, it doesn't take much effort to get there...

 

Also, when using pots for any event, you need to start by using a pride and a zombie brew (if you have access to SH 380 you can also get a pride) and don't forget brewing master *after these 2 pots*. once you've used all hunting pots DISABLE PRIDE ZB AND BM!   You don't want to waste a reckoning activation on them....

Don't forget having location of champions in front of you and prestige lvl 10 which ever method you get it ladder or hitting for it

I have been told a couple different things regarding Champions. So I'm going to Hazard a guess and say there may be a couple of schools of thought on this. I was told a while back to hunt Champions for about four levels. Then just before the last 2x event. I was told the only hunt champions for two levels. Until one level above the level of the champion. So any help in this matter would be greatly obliged. I was stuck in Karthak during the last event. I want to get the best of this one

3 and 4th level give you same xp as reg creature but a lot more gxp.

No Death Dealer? Or Berserk? More damage > greater chance of Overkill triggering > more XP.

 

In a similar vein, there are a number of other damage buffs (Necrosis + Holy Flame; Poison; Ignite; etc.) that could be added here.

 

However, I'm guessing that the idea is to keep the total number of buffs as low as possible in order for Reck to trigger an xp boost?

 

P.S. Personal preference: I run with a high KE and DC, plus Coord Att and Def pots, plus Nightmare Visage (and a few more buffs) to convert some of my attack into defense. Plenty of attack to clear anything, and my boosted defense means I can pretty safely hunt with one, maybe two rounds of Imps active.

I am level 981. So does that mean I should hit

Volmar Ram (Champion) lvl 980 until I am level 984.

Then hunt normal mobs until 987. Then hit Dark Horseman (Champion) lvl 987 until I am level 991? Rinse and Repeat?

I like to use lvl 192 Defiance  and Demoralize 300 if I go suicide
