(Actually there are other areas where the same sort of thing happens but they slip my mind at moment)
While topic is on the mines, the map definitely has huge problems. Its not a hard area but the map really turns some levellers off. Ik I was frustrated when lvling my first char.
And yes, the obelisk is crit just like sewer. Would be nice if could be like others suggest, haste, or dodge.. I'm hoping maybe there is some future plan for that one and just hasnt been developed yet
Anyhow ty ty for your time and consideration, enjoying the game as usual.

What kind of problems? When I went through it, I absolutely loved how it can seem to go in so deep like an actual mine. And actually requires patience to make your way through. Dying does suck but that's like the challenging aspect of it too.
Would love to see more areas like that personally, but maybe a checkpoint after passing a certain area would be helpful?
Edit: And upon entering mines, you could choose to start at beginning or choose checkpoint location.
Edit2: Wait, are you referring to the map interface? Yeah it is a bit odd.

I don't mind running alot but is it a possibility to save a realm load?
Have you tried preloading game files ? If not, run "eldevindiag.jar" located in "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Eldevin" if you are starting game from a steam. Or your game folder if you aren't using steam.
Then click on Preload Game Files and wait while everything downloads. It will speed up your loading screens A LOT.

I've never had luck with preloading.
I did say, I don't mind dying and running all the way back to where I was. What I don't like is dying, slowly loading Eldevin east, then loading mines again. Just torment on my device and for others too.

I load quickly enough to not need the new res. point, but I certainly have no objections. It doesn't hurt anything, so if it helps a few go for it.
As for the map, I took that as part of the challenge. I loved the confusion and slowly working it out. All the exits and markers exist, just not necessarily on your floor. Easy once you figure it all out, and I really had fun doing it.
Guess it comes back to the old 'can't make everyone happy'.
