I know that the inactives dont cause a Lag problem, it was just my opinion that if more ACTIVE Guilds were able to break into the Top 250 quicker, it would give them more of a sense of achievement, and give them more motivation to grow (thus making the game more fun).

Come on, how many fully inactive guilds are there? Do some 20 or 30 spots out of 250 pose a serious threat to the sense of achievement?

[sarcasm]Yes you are all right, and I am wrong, inactives should stay in the game forever, just incase in 3 years time they log on for 5 minutes, I just realised, I admit defeat.. long live inactives!!![sarcasm]

I never said that they should stay in the game forever. In fact, I have been voicing my opinions about removing them from relic defense for months here, recently also suggested that they could be moved to another database to decrease the amount of backups done on the live server.

I just don't think that:

1) It's fair to remove ANYONE from any Top lists just because they're already dead. I.e. historical sport charts do not remove old world records of sportsmen that have died. The guilds worked hard in the past to get where they are, so they deserve to be there.

2) As I said, 20 out of 250 isn't an issue. Does the sense of achievement suffer so much by the top 250 being actually top 230? I don't think so.

But why should inactive relic defenders be removed? and inactive Top 250 Guilds not?

The player that is defending the relic, was a member of a Guild who captured (earned) it, so if you dont want inactive Guilds removed because they "earned" the right to be there, the inactive member sitting on the relic should not be removed either?

Im confused :?

I was just browsing the Top 250 Guilds, and I came accross at least 15 (did not check them all) that were inactive..

And I mean completely inactive, with ALL members having "Inactive Accounts" and the Guild XP just being what was locked when the Guild was alive.

I suggest that ALL inactive Guilds are disbanded (so no need to delete inactive players).

This could probably also be said for the Rising Stars list etc. which seems to have the same problem.

Come to think of it.. lets just get rid of the XP lock altogether, it has no use for ACTIVE Guilds anyway, then there would be no need to to disband the Guilds I speak of above, as they would automatically fall down the Ranks and out of the Top 250!

Please Vote/Post.. thanks! :D

No way IMHO. All the top250 lists are a place where the achievements are recorded. Just because Baine no longer actively plays (and it does not MATTER whether he logs in or not), it doesn't make him any less successful bounty hunter, he fully deserves his no. 5 spot and many people remember when he was no. 1 :).

Even if there wasn't the remote possibility of some/all members coming back, I would have voted No.

BAINE OWNS!!! He was and always will be one of my best game friends... I still talk with him when I can...

THE PLAYERS EARNED THEIR SPOT OF FAME WITH HARD WORK!!! Just like the baseball players and football players, they aren't removed from the Hall of Fame when they quit or retire... So no... no... no... and NO AGAIN!!! You will just have to show that you are better then them...

LMAO... some people thought I quit... I just hit the top 250 in June... then I had to take 2 months off due to recovering from an accident, I am back and will soon be back on that list...

Some of those guilds bought and donated mass fsp too... removing them OR the HONOR they earned would be STUPID!!! lmao...

I would vote "no" 1 million times if I could... but I could only vote NO once :(

Erm.. did you TWO actually read the post you quoted? It is to remove COMPLETELY inactive Guilds, not inactive players, so it would not effect a player who goes on a 2 month vacation if they are in an ACTIVE Guild..

And would not effect your friends, or all the inactive players with all that XP keeping some Guilds in the Top 250

I can definitely see both sides. It would be nice if there weren't all these dead logs floating around, but it is nice to respect what people worked for. But, if they quit, then they probably don't really care enough about the game for it to matter whether or not their character/guild gets deleted. My main thing is the actual Rising Stars board. I thought it was updated every night at midnight. If that is the case, how are there people that are inactive or haven't played for 15 days on it? That just doesn't make sense to me.

Your rank gets updated when your bank deposits do. With the current system, your bank deposits will reset the first time you log in after at least 24 hours from the last deposit made. If someone never logs in again though, their bank deposits and hence their rank never get updated, so they can remain on the rising stars list with their last rank update/gain.

does a compromise sound good?

a hall of fame... which works like our top 250 works now, and then one which actually logs ONLY the active players, so we can actually see where we all stand in terms of against active players...

I did read.. the point in both of our posts was that the top 250 lists [ALL OF THEM] show high achievement... even if the guild exp is at the lock, it means the guild was good enough to get that lock, and therefore you would have to be better then that guild to be ranked above it... if I made the top 250 list myself with little work cause the inactive got removed I wouldn't deserve it... in the next few weeks when I earn my spot on the top 250 again I will have deserved it again... [why did I lose my spot? I went idle for 2 months cause I was hospitalized and in a stage of recovery from an accident so I couldn't play this game]
