Good intentions .. bad plan.

1) We already have a problem with gold not being valuable enough to introduce this into the game would make it even more worthless.

2) It would only more than likely be used for buying points which would drive the already unstable FSP market even higher.

3) This would encourage even more cheating: Now every multi would give you an amount of gold too? Not a wise choice.

Like I said good intentions .. Not a very good plan.

Not actually true while on the first week it will make "more" gold in the game at a later time it would make "less" gold because you'll pay it with the interest (a forcing method should be implemented for that.. a percentage of the gold you hunt/pvp should go to the bank)

2) It would only more than likely be used for buying points which would drive the already unstable FSP market even higher.

This is a valid point unfortunately todays fsp market is like that because of the manipulations of a few players. however do not forget if they want to make it higher they would be able to make it higher. with only 6M gold i can make the prices rise to 60k per fsp if i wanted and if i can borrow that gold from the bank i can do so if i wanted. (i haven't bought any fsp from market for a long time however. but its a personal choice and not everyone thinks like me so this is a possibility)

3) This would encourage even more cheating: Now every multi would give you an amount of gold too? Not a wise choice.

this is not actually a viable option. you need to play with those account to be able to get a favorable amount of gold. that means weeks of effort for a char if not months. and you could actually benefit more if you can grind more for that char then cheat gold out of bank. also there will be a need to launder the gold. if you sent every gold piece from every account to another bot will notice it.. bot is stupid but not that stupid :)
as you can see there is only one valid point for this suggestion to be viewed as unsuccessful and that is marketplace. somehow that idea became twisted by players. instead of making ppl who are not able to make fsps see some it became a place where select few makes more gold from their gold... i like the idea but currently i don't think its possible to implement with favorable results.

I think that there should be an option to be able to be loaned gold from the bank. This gold that belongs to the bank I would suggest to be around $40,000,000,000. However a person can only withdraw a certain amount from that, I was thinking along the lines of *current level* X 50,000 =Max Bank Withdrawal.

So a level 50 would be able to withdraw a maximum of 2,500,000 gold.
And a level 100 would be able to withdraw a maximum of 5,000,000 gold.

I was also thinking that you could only be lent that gold for a week with an interest rate of 1% of the amount you borrowed per day that you wait without paying back the gold.

So if you borrowed 1,000,000 and you repayed the money at the end of the week, 7% of 1,000,000 =70,000 gold.
So you would have to return 1,070,000 gold.

I think the numbers could be tweaked a bit, but other than that i think it's a good idea. What's everyone else's opinion :?:

What would happen if you didnt pay the Gold back? the debt collector comes round and repossesses your Legendary set? I say no, its too much hassle, and if you need Gold, you can go and earn it, killing creatures, trading items or selling FSP :)

What would happen if you didnt pay the Gold

I forgot to mention that point, thanks for raising the matter. Well i was thinking that for every week in which you failed to pay back the money you would decrease a level. And also when your account goes to level 1 if you fail to pay back, i suggest that account gets "frozen" whereby you cannot log. This is to prevent multi accounts since if you tried to take advantage of this with one of your accounts they would become unusable, and i don't think that multi users would like that. It would also put more stress upon paying back the gold so not many people would bother buying fsp from the marketplace using the borrowed gold.

so, a person can just create a bunch of multis and take 50k at a time? no thank you.

I'll quote Crace from another post:

The main lag is caused by the checks that are done to find people who are cheating. The easiest solution is to report anyone who you know is cheating or personally, don't cheat. This way, HCS wouldn't need to use the programme.

I think adding more checks for the server let alone another form of currency would lag the servers even more. I still believe the best way to get a loan is to join a guild.

if you put this in, someone would have to pay it back over a period right? and if they do this bit by bit right, well what if they were going away on a holiday, they go away for 2 weeks and are sent back 14 levels, a bit harsh
