That's not quite the case Chealsea (not sure who said that). We're very much trying to balance the situation better than it is now. The argument is perhaps in making sure that pure builds have their one strength that they are the best in the game at, but not all round heroes.

 

For example a pure healer should be simply the ultimate healer in the game, but probably lacks in dps. Pure Templar should have the highest agro generation etc. Pure mage should have the best wizzard hat obviously ;) This is kind of necessary otherwise all the classes blend into the same thing. Also class balance is something even the largest and most successful of mmo's struggle with - it's really difficult to get right.

 

We're still gathering all the feedback from the various threads about talent changes, from which we will try and take the best decisions we can about the changes.

Pvp kills

Easiest way.As this can't be fixed to be retroactive...so its best to move forward with something that applies to all the messed up leaderboards and prevents the problem in the future.

Duel arena, only possible place exploited kill's for pvp - Neon stated change TA randoum spawn's.

 

Leve duel arena as only expolitedable mean's.

 

This is suggetion page not point out expolite's

 

Close, this issue remove pvp kill's in duel areana. Remove Kill/death pvp ranking

Ansd or or add some added restriction to Duel arena to limited any possible exploiting can be doen in there.

Do you seriously think PKers add noobs to friendslist just so they can "exploit" kill them in PK zone?  It's the other way around, low level gatherers add PKers to friend list in order to "exploit" the double gathering rate with zero risk.  Along with homestone/instant dragon/remove vault/remote stash, and simply just running off the island, only stupid gatherers get PKed anymore.  Maybe they should remove 2x gathering rate to stop the "exploit" instead?

Yes i do think so, in fact i KNOW some PKers add low levels to friends list for such purpose as they have told me they do, also my post was only a suggestion in the thread, so there is really no need to undermine it saying it's ridiculous, unless of course you are one of the players that actually server hop to kill low levels, maybe also make it so a level 45 cannot PK 5-10 levels below ( this applying to all levels too) to make a fairer playing field,  :)

I don't PvP myself, but for what it's worth i was logged on as a lower alt (around level 20 if i remember correct) and a level 45 offered me gold to come to trappers and be continuously killed although this was before the random spawn point, i just laughed and said 'no thank you'. As has been said, maybe server hopping to find prey could be classed as an exploit also, all the PvPer needs to do is add lower levels to friends list and watch what server they log on to, then just go kill them, maybe after going to TA on one server and killing some players, when hopping servers all players become friendly and none attackable on other servers, i am not a programmer so i don't really know if this is viable or even possible to implement, but it maybe a way to cut down on said exploit ( if it is an exploit of course). as a sub note, there is a thread somewhere about HCS' stance on exploits, it maybe a good idea to take a look at it :D

TA - Duel arena - Q PvP

 

3 way's gain kill's for pvp.....

 

Possible miss use Duel arena small player base is right now limited number's, As well slowly working on 10k kill's in TA as is, Limited on number kill's rake up stuiped.

 

MMO people will do as thay please, as far as kill's very on what your doing. out of the 3 way's obtain kill's - Other

2) split TA give it its own kill rank wilderness kills
split DA= 1v1 player kills rank 
split pvp que and let it keep its current of player vs player kills.

I like this, but the "duel arena" wouldn't make sense since it's free for all not a 1v1 area. That place should just be removed from the game in my opinion, if I recall it was added for players to test pvp in beta. It really serves no purpose now and they could take a small amount of time to make a much better casual, dueling pvp system.

This was present since the release of the high-scores (the release of the game, but there was no reason to do it back then).

 

Basically if you're someone who strives for high ranking in a game this is one rank rendered "worthless". If I wanted too all I would have to do is log on, maybe get some low levels attention and pay them like 50g to kill them 1000 times in trappers atoll or the arena.

 

This was made harder to do and basically not worth the time in trappers due to the random spawn point and new popularity so I guess that place can be ruled out.

 

However there is still the issue with the arena, it should and could easily be made right.

Meh world bosses/raid bosses were rendered useless,the rewards are crap from them so their only value is to do them for ranking and you can just slay a lvl 6 dragon for legendary kills so i'd say those are truly useless as well.

PVP I do quite a bit of I guess,and i have no plan to climb the ranks for them BUT they need to be properly divided,i know hcs didn't think about this ahead of time but its not really their fault either,they keep being rushed for updates all the time.

I still stick the the original comment from me regarding this

Reason being is,this game if done properly could very much make it bi on its pve and pvp content,making viewing that much more desirable. Some like the individual challenge of a 1v1 for recognition,viewing pleasure and spectating etc.

I think a sin familiar should be a mirror image of themselves that acts and does what they do so it can distract an enemy as they take it out before the real player.

Yes ! .. I know its waste for some reason .

Incase if we got 2-3 more days left in Respec Cooldown ..

And too excited .. and we wouldn't mind to waste 250ep if 2-3 days left in cooldown.

No, what you have is alts. If you had no alts or weren't so hardcore to lvl them all you would probs not be one. I doubt you would be tank. Also great you don't have to use despair, but it was a nice tool to have in the locker. But if staff are going to re work the tank talent tree. options and strength or certain things and beef up our options etc. I look forward to it.

Basically for anyone wondering what opening poster said. He stated tanks are basically being screwed and we are being forced to put up with it and things need to change. Hopefully he kept a copy of what he said and can re post it without the f words etc. Maybe that is why it was removed. Looks like by what he now has there, he specced out of tank.

Nah they just changed a part of it which makes it miss the entire point of my thing make it look like i still see improvement possibe and that it are suggestions it ain't suggestions it's a post about their failure to understand the "Game" They made the game but they don't seem to play it and if i express how I feel they're just changing my post which is basicly not even possible without those f words as they fuck us over every update (e.g cus rumble got update not only to make it harder for dps no but they have to make it so that tank has to time his taunts even better) everything that becomes harded is just like "Ye tanks keep up with that shit anyway" And i'm done with that attitude i'm done taking the changes they do. And I'm really considering just going elsewere if it wasn't for the people i met here i already left long time ago.

 

And if it was just the tank bullying i could keep up with it but it's basicly their lack of prioritizing that's bothering me.

 

I deleted my entire post as it didn't say what i ment after the changes so I will just stop doing suggestions and hope Mongo does them as they listen to him.
