We need more Tanks... I am thinking of using the free birth stone to create a Tank, but I'd like to see:

1.  Decreased durability loss for Tanks in Instances.

2.  Increased (x2) experience for Tanks in Instances and without the decrease in xp when above level.

Eh I'd say this tbh...split heavy armors between support heavy armor for templars and assault heavy armor for warriors and then throw a talent set in you can spec into for durability loss, for when support heavy armor is equipped, and make it deep into the talents so it cant be abused by warriors :)

That would work too.  But I'd still like to see more XP.  Would like to get 4 levels in the dungeons before moving onto quests.  That still leaves some very slow leveling from 29-34 though...

i'd agree to this but ofcourse throw limits on it...like require 20 points spent into templar or such for a hidden buff of 20% or even 30-40% extra experience.

Tanks definitely need love. No one want to play them,

Personaly i tried it and it was big dissapointment,

When soloing i had to run away from 3 mobs of my own level all around

and runing away is oposite to what tank have to be.

I could accept that its dull, but its additionaly weak, and cant even keep aggro

without wasting points into attack - which is not tank domain

Yeah let's give tanks 2x exp so every one can abuse it!!!!

No support. Leave as it is. Tanks are suppose to be that way. High defense low DPS, and you can heal. What more are you asking for????? It will just then make it overpowered. Each class has it's up and downs. If you don't like a class currently there are others that do, that's why they are still using it.

EDIT**** If templars are so weak, how come you can solo a dungeon by yourself? It may take long but you can. Once again each class has it's own traits.

Ok the ex exp is a bit too much, but still even with 2x exp ppl would still play as a warrior, its way faster, its hard to level up, a talent like defensive stance or frozen phalanx have another proc like if a mob dies while this buff is on you get double exp

I totally agree with guth there should be a more templar instense armor that would receive less damage maybe have a little bit more armor and receive less durability damage, tanks start the fight before everyone else so they pay a little bit more then everyone else.

I think that tanks could use a bit of work, both to make them more fun to play, and to increase their survivability against multiple mobs while grinding.

A tank already completely servers their purpose, being a tank and taking a lot of damage. They don't serve as a class to grind against multiple mobs, as they are defensive. You want to take a class that already completely serves it's purpose as being DEFENSIVE and HEALING, and add OFFENSIVE to it. It's stuff like this that ends up making classes overpowered.

My opinion is that they take too much damage in the situation I described - but that's just my opinion.

How could they possibly be taking to much damage? If they were then they wouldn't be tanks, and people wouldn't recruit tanks to take all the damage for them in dungeons. They already completely server their purpose. If you increase their armor even more then it would be to the point of tanks don't even need healing, and then it would be overpowered.

I am tank now, I have found tanking is easy, fun and enjoyable to play in the dungeons. I have also tried pulling normal creeps solo and can handle 10 x level 45 no problems.... Just thought I would post, to show that not everyone thinks tanks are rubbish to play. :)

I think I found my second favourite class! but Mongo still prefer smash as warrior. :D

Case closed. Coming from an actual tank and somebody who understands how to play a tank. Templars are completely functional already, they have huge HP, ARMOR, and can heal. If you know what you are doing you can solo enemies your own level easily.

:o :0 omg mongo tanks now.

Mongo the thing we mention about tank problems are all about it requiring more time to kill mobs, wich takes more time to level up, doing dungeons is most always fine.

Without a shadow of doubt i have seen when the update arrived 90% of tanks(more like 11 of the 12 i normally play with) respeced to warrior to quickly rush to level 45, and respecced back to tank after 45, in wich they will do it again in the next update, as will you i believe.

That is my point exactly. They respec to warrior to level up killing mobs because thats what a warriors purpose is, DPS(Templar has lower DPS, of course it takes longer to level!) A templar is the EXACT OPPSITE, and is a DEFENSIVE TEAM PLAYER, who serves better in dungeons. If you raise the DPS of a templar, or increase their already huge armor, then basically you have just created an overpowered defense warrior that can heal.

I believe no one in this treat suggested more damage, i believe it was more xp and less gold usage in repairs.

Two players said they are currently weak, and you yourself said this. Obviously it takes more times to kill mobs. It's a defensive class with LOW DPS.

That is why it was suggested more xp per mob for tanks, not more dps...

Also i apologize if i am coming off as a bit harsh, I just find it wildly mind blowing that somebody would suggest let alone get support for BONUS EXP FOR A CLASS? You've got to be kidding me!!! Everybody cries for balance and now we are suggesting bonus exp for a class? *facepalm*
