It’s a real shame. Been playing since day one nearly. To have these continued problems after all this time means hcs can’t or do know how to finally sort out the problems. Servers have never been great. But since these merges they have been appalling. I agree that it’s probably in it’s final stages. Unless the mega bucks keep flowing. What could have been an epic game ended up to be the usual p2w and very little player suggestion implemented. Of course it’s a war game if they had balanced it as I am sure they could have done then would still have a future. As it is I believe Delta and Theta will be the funeral grounds of the game at some point.

Anyhow lest you think all I do is complain: Here's a few suggestions from being a brand new player for a few weeks now.
{Oh yes I did take the time to read through the entire thread before posting this}

1) Alliance defined tasks. As an adjunct to the global challenges. Maybe leaders/so leaders can set Alliance challenges IE
*Capture +10 sectors in a week for a reward..!* Now the rewards would be donated by the Alliance membership and could be a way to trade special artefacts in a limited fashion perhaps 

2) Alliance static defences. SO we get territory eh! Great, how about  each alliance could contribute RESOURCES to build a mobile defence tower that auto attacks non allies in its range.... Doesn't have to be a big attack just a repeated one. But the point is if all members in that area were AFK they would get a bit of general help against a sneak attack rather than just relying on their turrets.

3) Hidden resources. How about a Res tile appears of an unknown type until you scout it? Might be a good one might not but be a super rare item who can say. Just add a bit of spice (and a reason to actually use scouts) into the game

Can we please eliminate the "cool down period" between when a player can send a scout? The correct fix to players spamming another player with scouts is to put a cool down on how many scouts a player can RECEIVE from another player. If I want to send 10 scout ships to 10 DIFFERENT bases there shouldn't be a delay or cool down period.

So only 5 minutes to log in this time. Oh But ofc your never here at weekends when we have this continuing crap. You made the merge of the the older regions and it has been an unmitigated disaster. Blaming your isp. We always had lag but since this it's becomes unplayable at times at the weekends. On a different note despite continuing mentions of the lack of new players. In my case Theta I see you have created yet another new region. So yet again any new players will end up there. We have around 40 to 50 players who are active. Some more than others. Been told many times that you monitor server population. Maybe you do but obviously you don't seem to want to address that. continually making new regions will always mean any new players go to it. What is your reasoning for continuing to make new regions. defies logic as far as i can see.  On subject of the other regions if people can actually play. Why have all the existing regions been overlooked with the lvl 10 res tiles. shard mines etc. All your time is devoted to delta 2 it seems. One last point from day one people have been asking for a reduction in the absurd res/build times in the higher lvls. You will never address that as long as you have big money players. But a lot of people that dont or spend a little have played for a long time then find they have to wait months for the res and builds. Seen someone tonight seeing his lvl 21 hq will take 100 days saying he may as well quit. You had the potential for a great game when it started. And through greed and and lack of insight you have ruined it

We've been discussing your feedback and we're changing the rewards for the leaderboard positions for the Blackout Event, we'll be modifying the rank rewards to the following values :

 

Rank 1 - 2,000,000 Alliance Currency
Rank 2 - 1,000,000 Alliance Currency
Rank 3 to 5 - 750,000 Alliance Currency
Rank 6 to 10 - 500,000 Alliance Currency
Rank 11 to 25 - 250,000 Alliance Currency
Rank 26 to 50 - 100,000 Alliance Currency
Rank 51 to 100 - 50,000 Alliance Currency
 
Note : The Alliance which controls the Mothership at the end of the event will have their reward doubled.

The mothership is probably one of the biggest mistakes this game has made. The idea of being the "Defender of New Earth" is a pretty good one, but it was executed horribly. Inevitably the "Defender" on each server is whoever spent the most or collected the most big spenders into one alliance. There is nothing at all to do to give anybody a chance to hold the title and bestow privileges. 

I would recommend changing a few things. First, create an equitable system by which a person EARNS the title. My first suggestion would be award it to the player that destroys the most Aliens on a weekly basis. This makes it possible for literally anybody willing to put in the effort to win the title. If this isn't the method used, find some challenge that can't easily be won by spending $5,000 in shards like the current title holders. 

Second, remove the negative titles. Why is the "Defender of New Earth" handicapping humans? Aren't we all supposed to be in this fight against the aliens together? 

I honestly saw a mass exodus from our server almost the minute the mothership in its current form was introduced. It is a horrible addition in this state.

I think this whole thing could be a quicker way of killing off the game. Nothing being posted or suggested above is even being acknowledged or addressed.
The extra events are a "cash cow" and nothing really for the players.

Is there any servers with 100 active alliances? Maybe 20 from experience on Gamma it's about 4.

The proposed merger would be much older realms (such as Alpha and Bravo), Zeta is still a relatively young region.

Thanks for all of the feedback on the game!  I'll be sure to pass your comments along to the development team.  The balance of the game is of high importance to us, and we're looking at ways to ensure that the game is as fair as possible for all players.  I believe there will be a region merge as well in the near future, which should resolve some of the issues with balancing in certain regions.

 

 

There seems to be some misconception, that a merger might help the imbalances in the game. I just can't see, how that would improve things for the small guy, while the game mechanics stay the same. Now there will be 5x as many "untouchables", to pray on the low levels. Formerly a low level could find an abandoned spot, and hope to be missed, when one of the big guns was starting his raid. This will be much more difficult now. Please, reconsider the merger + have another look at the player suggestions. There are good suggestions, to improve the game, and very few (if any), have been implemented.

also you do know that in most(if not all)black out servers only the top 10 or less alliances are active therefore making this reward system is pointless

As already said you can already play in game room. Have for a while. Some in our Server Believe region merging is the path to finally kill the game. The shard reactor is a complete waste of time. I have fb loads of people as friends no one plays the game. Some people don’t have fb accounts. Ever since the game launched people have been asking to address the game imbalances but that has never been done. Rally’s are a waste of time. Even the description of it being a mmo game is not correct. New players come on seeing that. Quickly see it;s nothing more than a pvp game after being hit by someone with many times there power. Then quit. Still has potential to be really good if only you listen to all that has been said in the past. I know hcs is not a big company. However that’s no excuse for the way the game plays after being around over a year. And I appreciate a lot of games are p2w. Just make it more balanced.

The devs need to make money, and the paying customers should get some advantages, no doubt.

The problem is that there is no disincentive for big players to attack smaller players. You can pull significant resources from a smaller player with little to no risk. Attack a player the same size and you lose lots, so most players attack down, not up.

They need to implement a system that encourages players to attack within a certain range of their level or power. For instance, if a 100m power player attacks a 10m power player, their losses should be multiplied by a significant factor. It's ridiculous to spends minths building defenses and researching defense buffs to see a 100m player attack and onlu lose 75 titan tanks against your 150k commandos.

Any ETA on this?  I understand you want to be fair and thorough in your investigation, but the more time these excess alt accounts are allowed to operate the more legitimate players lose.

What's the point in playing this stupid thing you call a game if you can't do anything without watching over everything? Trying to play a game with family with no stress to come back and be missing 1m power permanently and I don't spend as much as everyone else the most I've ever hit so far is 11m after months! Lost 1m power total in those attacks which I'd insta trained with some Shards I had left over and was saving I had just gotten them. I have units in the Medbays that will all take 22 days to heal and even then I can't fight against the pay to win players that can send 200k units AND rally on my weak base without money! I can't support a game I lose everything into one player in a matter of seconds during one of the worst times it can happen. You have done nothing to prevent this and the rallies are proving a mistake as even if I get enough units to be safe they can just be rallied. You are introducing the stupid Mothership wonder who thought that was a good idea in a game where players don't even fight the Aliens it's just each other. Do something about your crap you call a game if you actually care about the player base that can't spend as much cash as everyone else
