if you made it a percentage, however i could do the quest as easily as them but the reward would remain huge for me and less significant to them.

Isn't that what it's like with all quests that give stat increases though? Take the Shaolin Reborn quest for example, you get a +15 stat increase altogether which is negligable to a high level player but it means a lot more to a lower one.

With a percentage decrease in stats you are at least making the quest the same difficulty for everyone.

Level points as a reward was so it remains fair for all classes/subclasses because we believe that this quest is of equal difficulty for all.

Not really. I suspect the miners would have fewer problems.

I don't think so, 6 weeks of mining is a long time but the miners won't lose much, warriors will suffer a bit and mages will visit safeheavens a lot.

Miners kill creatures also and -100 attack is devistating for the miner that likes levels too.

Yes, but miners can concentrate on "business" aka mining for 6 weeks without much problems while other classes can't do much in this time.

not necessarily true. i'm a miner, but only mine if someone orders something from me. i like to *play* and kill things, and already having a -50% atk, something like this would seriously hurt me. 6 weeks of mining would drop me 200 ranks, easily. shoot, two days of hunting FISH has already caused me to drop 8.

A quest like this could be interesting, but knowing me... I'd do it when I couldn't play often anyways, maybe during a show (I'm an actress) or a vacation sans compy or something...

Only thing I would change is have the reward be a % based on player level. Possibly with a minimum value that would make it worthwhile for the low guys. This would entice even the top 10 to do the quest, as they would get more than the stated points to distribute as their level is so high. Say, below level 250 or so the values stated would apply, above that level, 10% of the level would be the reward. So, Seph would get about 200 levelup points if he suffered the 50% to 75% stat decrease for the required time.

I think its an awesome idea, and personally I would happily wait such a long time for such a generous reward.
