The magical field generated by Arcanalith has a slight magnetism towards other, paired chunks. Using this science, engineers were able to chain together chunks of raw arcanite to power the robot.
However, funneling all the energy into the shooting part meant that the bot was easily distracted say by a squirrel running by or getting hit by a ballista.
