Really? A 3 day ban for "Same IP trading" for an in game birthday card? Does staff really think I'm giving naenae some unfair advantage with the few credits she'd get if she sold the card back to the game? You've discovered my master plan... I intend to make naenae the richest player in Legacy by sending her a card once a year.

If I ever apply for a staff position do I have to bring my own special helmet or are they provided? What exactly do the windows on the bus taste like?

yeah, it's nice to know the birthday card jailed my account for the same amount of time as others get when they make a bunch of multi's and funnel credits... guess I'll just go play some Black Ops for a few days.

Apparently there's not a system in place that automatically catches same IP trading and then bans, becuase the ban didn't happen until 3 days after the trade.

So the staff member that monitors trade saw that a trade occurred between IP address 1 and IP address 2, where both IP's were the same and then just went ahead and dick slapped the ban button without looking at any details. I'm sure the job is very very demanding and really hard to do... Actually doing your job probably doesn't take much more effort than pretending to do it. Why don't you try it out for a few days and let me know how things go.

I received a similar ban a few weeks ago when my neighbor (a new referal) sent me a cookie. It heals 2hp and sells for like 5c i think? :/ Of course, I was a little steamed at the time, but it was only cuz it killed off all interest to the new player. Rules are rules. IP trading is IP trading. Doesn't matter the item. Its what the Terms of Service say. Volunteer Helpers are there to enforce the rules, not play favorites. I feel for ya, but i'm not sure how far complaining will take you.

Some of the Game Rules were apparently being interpreted in their harshest possible context by some of our newer Voluntary Helpers. This has been reviewed and rectified, bans for such trivial things should not happen in the future.

See this staff member knows how it should work...

Bans for things like cred funding should occur.. not for a thing like a birthday card....

Hello,

As Zorg has said and Glacieus, we do enforce rules to the letter sometimes a bit too much. I can see Zorg has rectified this and I hope you'e back online. I will be speaking to our newer staff and altering ip trading punishments to be a bit more lenient to first time offenders. I must state however that I would highly advise not to trade between people that share networks, also "If I ever apply for a staff position do I have to bring my own special helmet or are they provided? What exactly do the windows on the bus taste like?" could be seen as  offensive - There are better routes to getting your point across as to insulting a team of humans that, like other humans sometimes make mistakes.

To create a summary, I have and will continue to review ip trading laws, it is against our terms of service but you should receive a warning or a politely worded message explaining why you shouldn't. I would also boldly point out not to trade, it sucks - you want to I know but we cant make exceptions on trading laws.

If you wish  to discuss this feel free to contact me.
