Hi, first of all let me say I'm loving the game so far, you guys did a great job with this.

I've been waiting for this game since it was announced all those years ago and it didn't dissappoint, although as with every game there are things that could be improved or changed, and this thread is all about bringing those things to light, I mean that's what a beta test is all about, right?

So let me start of with a few of my own suggestions.

  • Abandon quest. - As with most people, I'm stuck on the 'My supplies' quest, and cannot move on with the game without completing the quest, so I think it would be really handy to add an abandon quest feature, meaning that you quit the quest, and to start it again you go back to the NPC that assigned it.

  • Backpack labelling - Personally I like to store my items categorically, and to do that i've assigned different backpacks for different types of items, such as potions, components etc, and it would be nice if we could label out backpacks instead of opening all of them to find the items you're looking for.

  • Double skill bar - This really bugged me, I've learned a lot of skills, and I found it really annoying that I had to click the button to go to the next skill bar to find the skill I need. If you don't know what I'm talking about here, check out the WoW skill bar.

  • Shifting compass - I've seen a few people mention that they would like to see the compass position change based on the direction you're moving, and I totally agree.

  • Page scrolling - Not really a suggestion, but I also found that every time I went to zoom in with my mouse scroll, it scrolled the whole web page along with it, although I'm not sure if that is just a browser or screen resolution thing.

  • Accidental right clicking - Again, not really a suggestion, just an annowance, most of us that are used to playing MMO's tend to use the right click button to shift the camera, but I noticed that if I move my mouse too far it would go out of the boundaries of the game window and when released, it brings up the right click menu. I don't know what to suggest to change it, I just found it realy irritating.

That's all I have to add right now, although I'm sure I'll come up with more as I get further and further into the game.

Feel free to post your own thoughts on things you'd change, or things that just simply bug you.

I'm so excited about this game, and I know it's been a long time in the making so I just wanted to thank you guys for giving me the chance to take part in the beta test.

So to finish, congratulations HCS! All the hard work paid off, eh?

Suggestions made by others:

full screen feature.

Full screen feature

Working with such a small window on such a large screen hurts the eyes just a bit :P

Or just the option to make the working space bigger.

Map improvements

making it easier to see where you stand on the map, I literally spend 5 minutes finding out wher ei was standing at some point, maybe highlight key points such as quests.. maybe even having the option to place a custom marker

Stat recommendation

Maybe not essentiel to everyone, and personally i'm not sure how much use I would get of this,

But if you're a wizard you're obviously going to upgrade for more mana and sorcery, but how much in each can maybe be hard to determine at times.

Friends list

Not essentiel either but as the game gets on you might have gotten yourself some friends you want to team up with later on and slay some goblins or whatever you do together.

View angle

Let the camera angle go up and down to besides from left and right only, so that you can see details more clearly.

Improved Shopping

The most of this just usability issues, being able to double click items to buy them, as well as drag-n-drop feature.

Also it would be nice if you could sell your looted gear in order to earn some extra $$

(is possible from certain vendors)

Compare Equipment

When you find new gear, either in shop or when looted you want to be able to quickly compare it to the one you're already wearing, like have an extra window when hovering where you can easily see differences.

As well as displaying selling values on items

May come up with more as I play the game XD

Great ideas, I agree with the stat recommendation and the map imorovements, although the fullscreen option doesn't particularly bother me, I know a lot of people have mentioned that they'd like to see that implemented, also right now it doesn't seem like there are any clear cut classes in the game from the get go, like mage, warrior, priest etc, and I'd really like to add skills and attribute points based on that.

I've quoted your ideas in my original post.

What about the friends list :o

A friends list is a great idea, it's hard to keep track of everyone to talk to them ;).

+1 this seems a great thing to implement in the future.

Can you please modify the text message for crafting/gathering/foraging/etc higher items? It says: "level X required..." - so it suggests you need to be a certain lvl to gather it, but in reality it's the level of the skill that needs to meet the requirements. So it should say: "level X in Y job required...".

As i said in another thread..

A small chance for some stat bonus on crafted items would be nice, would keep crafting a bit more interesting,

but that's it.

one small thing currently i would change (Besides the Camera Angle, GAH, it needs to be able to go at least another 15% down)

is that when you hold down the mouse, you just continually move in the same direction. thats good. but you keep throwing up multiple green arrows per second, and it causes lag client side quite bad. i would suggest that if you are holding the mouse down, it only shows the FIRST green arrow. and the Last one, when you let the mouse up. Anyone think about it?

it would be nice if you were able to click the persons name in the chat box to whisper them

also when you are crafting it should use the lesser stack first. (ie. if i have a 10 stack of copper and a 4 stack of copper it should use the 4 first)

We've got plans to improve all the crafted items, however we're still working on a lot of the item stats.

Good to hear that :)

But i was not clear enough in my post (I think) what i meant to say is, for example: when crafting an item, there would be a 1% chance ( just as example) for this item to come with a small boost, like a slightly higher damage, or defense, or even bonus stats like vit, focus etc.

Anyway, i'm glad to hear you are still working on this system.

Agree with this and added some additional comments :P

Not unless you guys modified it during the last patch...
