What I think applies to most people is the sense of real community they feel in this game. I know for a fact that this game makes much more personal connections with people than other games; where other games treat people just as names, here you develop lasting friendships which makes you want to stay. Also, I think people don't want to leave after they've spent half their wallets on this game
So, that being said, the most important thing I see is the community, and the concept of guilds (a nice way of getting introduced to a large number of people quickly). The faster a new player can be put into a guild, or get a mentor of some sort, the higher chance they have of staying (or so I think).

The Tons of Aspects - I haven't yet tried being tired of playing FallenSword, some aspects from time to time, but that's what nice about FallenSword we got so much to do only the stamina limits me from doing it all
The Hunted Cows Studios - never found a game with anything close to the respons you guys offer us, it means alot to know that you're not just another player in a money-machine, but you guys really want this to be a great game for both the crew and the players
Thanks alot!

The Community.
[*:2xn6opcp]I've never seen a closer community then the FS community. Seriously, within a short span of time, you begin to recognize players by their playing style and social interactions. Just by simply looking at someone's name, you usually have an idea what they do. Also, you feel immersed in the community. Almost everything comes from someone else. Need gear? Buy from someone. Need buffed? Ask someone for help. Need to defeat this elite? Join a guild or ask for assistance. This game revolves heavily around the community aspect of the game. I know many people who most likely wouldn't be here day-to-day if it weren't for their friends.
The Different Playstyles
[*:2xn6opcp]In Fallensword, you can be whatever you like. Here are some options: Leveler, Titan Hunter, SE Hunter, Chest Finder, PvPer, GvGer, Farmer, Potion Maker, Merchant, etc. You can be any or ALL of those. In most browser based games, it's just "You have the choice of Warrior, Mage or Archer. Follow this one boring story that fits your role.." In FS though, you can do anything you desire. That is by far one of my favorite things about Fallen. Run out of stamina and bored? Play the arena. Leveled a lot and want to test your gear? Go PvP. Wanna earn rewards for your guild? Go GvG. For me, it seems like there is never a dull moment in the FS world.
The Support.
[*:2xn6opcp]I could honestly RAVE about how lucky we are to have a great support team. Sure, sometimes it feels like things get overlooked. But, do you realize how hard they bust their butts for us? I imagine it's hard to implement all these things, let alone with a team of their size. We have it easy and we don't even realize it. I've been in games before where the support will take over a week just to get back to you with some generic semi-automatic response. Yet, as Grim said, "We're here to listen to you. Just remember that we are human beings who pour a hell of a lot of effort into the game. We don't want something to suck. We want it to be good. Just remember it can take time to effect changes." I mean, they listen a lot more here then other games and want to improve it anyway possible. They listen, implement and respond to us as a whole. They treat us like players, not money machines. They stay on the same level as us as well. I, for one, am glad we have such an amazing support team.

more then anything its t6he community and friendships made while playing an outstanding rpg browser game.
Gold / Kill peaks at about Level 310 or so - and then drops again twice - once at 1601 (from average 300g / kill with no doubler/mer/th to 250g / kill) and then again at at 1626 (down another 50g / kill to an average of 200g / kill)

As of now, the community and the friendships I've made are the only reasons I'm continuing to play. This game drew me in from the start because of the social aspect, and no other browser game has held my interest the way FS has.
With fewer and fewer people logging in and playing, there is less of a 'society' and less of a reason for me to log in, and stay logged in.

Honestly, I don't know. Right now, I can think of 4 main areas that will keep players logged in - the arena, titans (if they're checking for spawns), PvP, and chatting to friends.
I think the only way to encourage more people to log in and stay logged in, would be to add another aspect to the game. I don't have a suggestion for what that might be, but I'm sure someone with a more creative mind than me can think of something.
I hate to say it, but adding something for leveling is NOT the answer. With the massive stam banks people have now, they log in maybe once a day, and log out soon after because they're waiting on max stam. Or, at EOC, with nothing to spend their stam on.
I don't have the answer, but I certainly hope someone does, because I enjoy this game, and would hate to see it die.

The community, particularly guild members, but also others I have met.
The fact that you aren't compelled to DO something all the time. With other games, I feel like I have to be leveling, gathering resources, etc, something all the time. With FS, I can relax and talk to old familiar friends, and make new ones. If I want to invent, great. If I want to shop the AH, fine. Sometimes I just hang out though. Being stamina based, you don't have to actually "play" 24/7.
HCS - they care about the players, they listen, they take suggestions and try to incorporate player's ideas. New gear is added, new potions, buffs, content. Global events are added, there's an awesome Halloween event starting..... It's not a dying game contrary to some player's opinion. It's actually a very vibrant and evolving game.
Which leads me to how to get other players to log in more often....
The game is vibrant, some of the players aren't. I know not everyone reads the forum, but it is very depressing to read "this game sucks, it's dying, HCS doesn't care, they just want money, PvPers are selfish, Levelers are selfish, etc etc etc". even in the FSBox you see that sometimes. There are always going to be disgruntled players for one reason or the other, but that is much too prevalent. what is a new player supposed to think when they read that? If players really want to improve they game, they would cut down on the bashing and negativity and work together to improve the game and make it a game people will stick to.
Make FSP easier to get. The marketplace price HAS to be fixed, 250K is ridiculous and only drives new players away. Many ideas have been given, and there are other threads for that. My favorite idea was to cut the gold amount earned by leveling, especially at the higher levels.
Don't make the game too easy with overpowered potions all the time. I assume the purpose is to give people the opportunity to get ahead fast, being that going from level 1 to 1500 seems daunting when starting, until you look at some of those potions that are available. Nowadays, it doesn't take near as long as it used to.
One suggestion for HCS - it's good to ask for ideas and even throw some of your ideas at us to discuss, but be careful announcing a new feature is coming when it will be months (if ever) before it is implemented.
Fix the problems that have been mentioned and talked about in forums for weeks, and even months.

Stamina gain/max stamina is the real problem. Most people want to hunt/ pvp all the time not every once in a while. sure this would bring way more people to EOC faster. BUT look at it this way, if and I mean if you only have the basic stamina gain and max stamina. IT will take you. 3 + years, if you only level to get to EOC. Nobody and I mean nobody says hey lets buy or rent X game and if your a leveler, lets level only for 5 mins and then wait till tomorrow and then level for 5 mins again. Considering they can play a decent portion of newer MMO's all we want. On that note if I want to have 5 characters I can in those other games. WHY only 1 in FS?What do you feel would encourage players to log in more often?
When I asked if my son could play FS, I was told no, he is only 11. He definitively plays far worse games, I thought it was the parents responsibility to decide if that game is ok for them to play or not.
Not saying this will help but in another MMO that I play I get a free potion from the company everyday I log in.
Another though from me in allot of other MMO's I can buy gear directly from the company and from the AH. I will use an EPIC as an example SHIELD OF DEMONIC VISAGE. Most common players cant afford to spend $200. Keep it that way, but maybe make a bound version of that same shield for a buy it now price of $50 straight from HCS, but you can only hell forge the unbound one.
For ME I have a bit of OCD I Started and I will finish it. the real attraction to me is all of the beautiful gear that I can wear or wear some day. waiting for the new LE and SE sets, but some people can only wait so long. not everybody wants to buy gear, sometimes we want to hunt it for our selves. THE LE event when I first started playing was a real hook for me as well.
Cant wait for the new one to start. thanks, hope this helps and sorry for my rant.

This would allow new players to log in once a day, at max stam and use all their stamina, however they see fit.
It will give them more options, from when they join, to maybe try other aspects of the game, rather than just levelling.
With 24 hours of stamina to use, they could pvp ladder/gvg more efficiently, farm some creeps or plants etc. then invent stuff, bounty hunt etc. etc.
Give them more freedom when they join, rather than make it a chore to log in with the sole purpose to level up a bit, so they dont go over max stam.
Just a thought, I might be wrong, but it could encourage more players to stick around, as they would have the stamina bank to expand their gameplay options, early on.
