WARNING: this suggestion may increase your enjoyment of the game by making it slightly more challenging

every time I attack an entity, I ALWAYS hit first
am I just really lucky or is it impossible for the entities to make the first hit?

a major flaw with this game is the inability of entities to initiate attack
while I don't think it is feasible to introduce this into the game
I do think allowing entities a chance to make the first hit is possible
this will provide some balance to the PvE combat and account for the inability of entities to initiate attacks

No that because we have too strong gears which enables us to 1-hit-kill the entity. Even with forged gears we still occasionally get hit from enemies because our gears are weakened.

As to your suggestion, NO !! Why should we give them a chance to attack first when we have initiated the attack ?

then would you be open to allowing them to initiate attacks?

I agree that giving them a chance to attack first is not the ideal solution, but I think it is a feasible compromise
I would much rather have the entities attack me occasionally but this does not seem like a viable change to the game mechanics

I'm not saying No cause I don't like it, it's because this idea was also suggested in Fallen Sword game but lots of players disagreed with this idea and it was shot down, so suggesting it here makes no difference the HCS will not add this idea to the game.

yea that just sounds like a bad idea. i dont want to sound negative or anything but that is like walking up to a monster and letting it punch you in the face and plus gear would break really fast if monsters are getting the first hit and not to mention then you also lower your chances for the great 1-hits that help you level and make more credits.

Giving the entities the chance to attack first will not work for a very simple reason.The reason is that not everyone is walking around with 5x fully buffed gear.There are a lot of players on the lower end,borderline players that are already finding it too hard and thinking of leaving game.Most of these players cannot withstand the entity attacking first they would lose all there energy 3/4/5 x faster than us and would die much more often.Remember this is not really a skilled game,it is just math/number crunching,there is nothing a player can do in this game other than spend FC on gear.

So this idea would alienate the average to low end players and the newer players deciding on staying in the game or not.

A challenging game would make them quit? Well....

I have no problem with a large first strike enhancement for some creatures. I give up a turn about 1 every 30 creatures because I forget to reload in my BP about every other time. So, I already face this....

realy these creatures are just minding there own buisiness waling around and you just run up and hit them so they dont get the chance to swing first. i would be open to alowing the creatures the ability to initiate.

I am not familiar with the past suggestions on Fallen Sword
nor am I familiar with the reactions to such suggestions
most importantly, I do not see how any of that is relevant

HCS continues to assert that this game is not FallenSword
it may be that HCS decides not to implement this improvement
but it will not be because it was unpopular in a completely different game

please try to stick to the issue at hand
from what I do know about Fallen Sword, I agree that some of the mechanics are similar
it would be helpful if you could elaborate as to why this improvement was unpopular in FallenSword

this improvement does not necessarily alienate any players
however, I will not discuss the equality of the game in this post
(your comments are incorrect, and regardless, they are not germane)

part of the skill in this game comes from being able to plan your items
new levels bring new creatures with unique stats that can be countered with items/evolution/skills
each new level always has cheap items available for players to succeed
the items may only last for one or two levels, but then a new item is available
upgraded items of course have an advantage, among other things, they typically last longer
however, they are not required to withstand an initial attack

the players this would adversely affect are not the players lacking in finances
it is the players lacking in thought, and these players have the mindless game of FallenSword
this game could offer a chance for real strategy, a gross departure from FallenSword

still, the lack of thought can be countered by investing in expensive gear
I am not trying to dissuade players from upgrading their gear
that is a trade off between convenience and cost
I am simply asking HCS to offer us the opportunity to think
to make this game less a matter of pure number crunching and mindless clicking

Bad suggestion, sorry. There is no need at all for this in the game. I would much rather have them fix something that is wrong in the game then to add another problem like this in the game.

:lol: thank you for not backing up your disapproval with anything

I'm sorry you don't like this suggestion, but...
it would be more helpful if you could explain why you feel this is a "bad suggestion"
or why giving entities a variable %chance to first strike is a "problem"

many players find this game too easy at the moment and are exponentially out leveling the content
this is a suggestion to add more challenge to the game and increase the realism
