Hi all,

In this update we have corrected the following issues:

This would be nice, but maybe make it cost double or triple the normal repair costs. Would be a nice credit sink that might help keep FC costs down. Plus, it would give us players a choice,

what is more important, a few stamina or a few hundred credits?

I have to say that a quick repair tab would be cool to have because we can always make credits and charging about 10 more in credits when used is a good idea, charge more if you want but don't charge over lets say 30 credits extra. It would help keep the value of credits even for now but later on who knows it might one of many ways that credits keep their value at least for a while. I'm all for it.

I proposed a self repair skill for the soldier class at the expense of increasing the soldier's handicap, but I'm not for a quick repair for every class. Having to go back to a repair station to repair is one of the main features that makes the differences between sigmastorm and fallen sword more than purely cosmetic. Not that I don't like fallen sword, I like it a lot.. but we already have that game. New is good, but new and fresh is better.

Oh yeah, btw.. nice update ;)

Funny how you're a soldier.

Repairing is a mundane task. It doesn't add enjoyment, in fact, it does the opposite. If you cant afford or have access to FF gear then you cant hunt more than a handful of squares from the repair centre. Where's the fun in that?

By adding a repair kit that has an increased cost you make the game much more accessible while adding another gold sink.

When I proposed the self-repair skill, the topic was addressing the soldier's and purist's handicap. They've already decided on and applied a fix that didn't include a self-repair skill for the soldier.

Since the fix has already been implemented and the proverbial(at least I hope proverbial) fat lady has sung, you would think I would jump at the chance to get this "anywhere-repair" in place, but it was never about that for me. I would have been for a self-repair even if it had nothing to do with the soldier.. perhaps call it "self-Diagnostic" for the cyborg only, or maybe "Meditation" for only the purist to use. They would have needed a huge handicap to make up for their freedom from the repair-o-matic and it wouldn't have helped me in the least, but the sheer contrast this would have made between their class and the others would have been worth the effort(for me) trying to make it all work.

I hope that clears up my position a little bit and makes my being a soldier not quite so.. "funny".

I would suggest repair items that you could buy, sort of like the +10 hearts and med packs. This would be a compromise between walking to a repair station and having quick repair. Maybe have the item repair a certain amount of durability based on the cost of the item. This method goes along with the games current format. Just a suggestion!
